Melquise Stoval offered

good luck pulling this kid out of Cali.

An offer doesn't hurt. The question is whether he's worth the cross-country flight for in-home visits when we have comparable talents--Deon McIntosh, Ivan Smith, Adrian Killins, Carlin Fils-Aime, etc.--within driving distance. For my money he's not.

For some perspective: Paraclete High's level of competition is not great. They got crushed by Hart HS, which had Top 100 overall prospects in QB Brady White and WR Trent Irwin, as well as Westlake HS, where future Nole QB Malik Henry played last year, and still finished 10-3 in the regular season. Essentially, they're the tallest midgets.

Committed to USC today. USC gets who ever they want on the west coast.

They lost some kids to UCLA but they do get a lot of the bigger name kids

UCLA took advantage of their "cloud"...once that cloud was lifted, USC went right back to work in building their fence around So. Cal and cherry picking No. Cal.. Miami's fence should've been rebuilt, but we continue to use "the mist" as an excuse as to why everything is so wrong.

No offense to the kid...he may be very well the truth, but being from So. Cal, I can tell you that Lancaster is not producing top notch talent. If he was playing in the Valley, So. Central, or Riverside County doing this, then maybe I would be that much more impressed...but Lancaster ain't about that football life.

Not that we have a chance of pulling this kid from Cali, but he decommitted from USC today.

I don't get why kids go to ND... Academics are toughest in the country and as a skill position player ur career dies either they don't develop u or u get kicked out... At least we've adjusted academics and let kids that probably wouldn't be in before to get in, at ND they don't budge
