I hear you, but no one is going to remember them beating VT and KU. They will remember 3 ranked SEC teams losing first two weeks, with two of them total embarrassment's.it doesn't matter man. no one cares about the layup games but when the power 4 play against each other Ws matter. I was only referencing the P4 matchups. results matter.
the double whammy is Duke, VT and SMU all lost at their home sites to P4 teams. And unranked Kentucky lost, but gave Ol Miss a scare.
But outside of an over ranked Michigan and AZ State, who did the SEC beat this week other than tomato cans?
SJSU
Austin Peay
ETSU
SCST
LT
ULM
Ball St
Ark St
USU
And unranked VT and KU.
Not exactly proving any narrative, especially after last weeks Bama/Texas clunkers.
Just as it took years for the narrative to get to where it is now regarding the SEC, it will take years for that narrative to go away as well (if it ever goes away). They could lose every OOC game for the next 3 years, but it will because the SEC schedule beats them up too much. Can't change the narrative when you don't win the games on the field. SEC won every game this weekend except Florida
SMU’s loss was bad optics wise. The other two? Not unexpected.the double whammy is Duke, VT and SMU all lost at their home sites to P4 teams.
the SEC doesn't get penalized as a whole for those 2 games when the next week they wreck shop. they win more than they lose in these P4 matchupsI hear you, but no one is going to remember them beating VT and KU. It's like they had an unfair advantage 2 years ago that they don't have now. What could that be?Weird how Cheatagain has looked like a completely different team over the last 2 seasons...
I wonder what happened?
I agree but no one will care because inevitably Florida will beat a "good" SEC team in conference play and they will be "good" againSMU’s loss was bad optics wise. The other two? Not unexpected.
UF losing to a P5 at home is much worse.
It will take 4-5 years of the SEC not winning the NC to start eroding the narrative. Right now, who in the SEC looks likes a potential NC contender?the SEC doesn't get penalized as a whole for those 2 games when the next week they wreck shop. they win more than they lose in these P4 matchups

Right now? It’s so early, but based off of rankings only, maybe Texas, LSU, Georgia. It will take 4-5 years of the SEC not winning the NC to start eroding the narrative. Right now, who in the SEC looks likes a potential NC contender?
I agree that’s about it.Right now? It’s so early, but based off of rankings only, maybe Texas, LSU, Georgia.
Yeah, every team (not limited to SEC teams) has some weaknesses. There really is so much parity, as there was last year.I agree that’s about it.
In watching them, LSU looks like the only one that could go deep in the playoffs.
But you’re right, it’s early.
Though I’m not sure Arch Manning is going to have an epiphany and UGA’s offense is going to struggle against good defenses.
thats some fuzzy math and I have been drinking all day. 4-0 in power 4 matchups with 1 loss against the G5
