I'm hoping Justin Scott lives up to the hype. I could see him starting anywhere if he does. Beck started at Georgia, so there's that. Roman Frederique might start at some of them. I get your point though. Our roster still has a ways to go before we can compete with best

Contribute? If you’re calling this the 2 deep on any top 10 team? Probably at least 18-20 of our starting 22. Definitely more than those 4. Maybe not whoever our starting WR3/slot is, Jakobe Thomas at Safety probably wouldn’t on a few teams, starting LG probably would be in the 2 deep but OL usually has 6-7 contributors so McCoy/Rodriguez could miss that mark on a few teams. Then both starting LB you could probably find a few that they wouldn’t see the field depending on how much they’ve progressed and how healthy they are (Toure).

Start? Beck, if healthy, is a 1st round pick. Put him in the top 5 in the country. I’d say Mauigoa and Cooper starts anywhere. Cooper did regress a little last year. Bell probably starts for 60+ teams in P5. Brockermeyer probably starts at 50-55+ teams in the P5. Daniels/Trader probably start on 50-55 teams. Fletcher/Lyle probably in the 55+ range, Bain probably starts almost anywhere, call it 60+ teams. OJ, Lucas, O’Connor, Poyser, and Lofton probably in that same ballpark. Both starting DTs, Lightfoot, Mesidor, Scott/Brantley, and the LBs are up in the air. More scheme dependent for some and not sure what to expect from others.

What about Beck, Xavier Lucas, Jo Jo Trader?

Straight dumb post lol.
Like only 4 players are contributor level on our roster? Give me a break.
Again I just gotta say everyone on here always seems to act like top talents on other teams who have not at all proven themselves are so vastly superior to our unproven top ttalent... Its hilarious. Again Can anyone explain to me WHY when you compare our DLine - especially EDGE rushers - to Ohio Stats, why if they weren't completely swapped yall wouldn't be saying they have a DLine 10x better than us lol.
Again just say you don't think Mario is going to get the best out of our players. But to act like we only have 4 guys with any talent is hilarious....But Listing Lyle and Lofton as 2 of those 4 is actually shocking

Going on year 4 if I’m not mistaken, how much longer do we need?
 
A bunch of them.

On top of the names you listed, OJ Frederique and Xavier Lucas are two of the best young CBs in America. Georgia recruited Zechariah Poyser to start. Beck already started for a Top 10 team. We have multiple OLs that start for Top 10 teams.

There is a lot more parity in 2025 than there was in 2020.

Any top 10 team? How hammered did you get today?

Indiana finished 8th
Boise State 9th
SMU 10th
Notre Dame and Penn State both in the TOP FIVE.

There are 85 kids on the roster, and FOUR would even contribute for Indiana? Four? Mesidor just rides the pine in Bloomington? Can’t even bring the dudes water? Carson Beck isn’t better than CJ Carr? I could do this for a half hour.

This is a dreadful thread. We don’t have the most talented roster in America, we know that. But get a clue. Did last year teach people nothing? Ohio State won the ******* national championship losing to their biggest rival, AT HOME, as a 20 (Twenty!) point favorite to a team who threw for 62 yards as a team. In an entire game.

Jesus, man. It’s wild that so many people here really think every roster is 2001 Miami and we’re showing up with a bunch of Chemistry majors to the games.
 
I don’t think top 10 means much, as shown by this last playoff.

Assuming you meant start "and" contribute (and not start "or" contribute), on a top 5 team, I'd probably add Lucas and Poyser to your list.

Would say Cooper and maybe Bell. They hype proctor gets a bama is insane the kid has yet to prove he’s elite at LT he actually kinda stinks for how much hype he gets

In addition, I feel like so many just think the top teams have no holes (pause?).
 
Appreciate the responses! Not trying to be a Debbie downer, just trying to level set. So after reading this. I would say this is a roster that should contend for the ACC title? Schedule isn’t favorable in terms of consecutive games. But seems like the consensus is we have the talent.
 
Beck gotta be included as he was QB1 for a top 10 team already lol. But add him and hopefully guys like Scott, Jojo, and someone from our secondary join that list (lucas & poyser seem to have inside track).
