Meaningless Bowl Games

it didnt allow a committee who has biases to decide which 4 teams (which we saw ended up being the same 4 that would have been decided from the beginning of the year (at least 3 of the 4 were the same). you also saw a team w multiple losses get excused and end up higher than teams w less losses on their record. also brings it back to where every game was your playoff vs now a committee will give you a break. ****, you just witnessed a CFP head use mental gymnastics to defend their ridiculous rankings all year long
It also used formulas and polls that weren’t transparent and often contradicted each other, much like the committee. The formulas have biases too with how they weight all the criteria, you just wouldn’t have someone be able to explain the rationale behind the rankings

bcs and cfp had The same top 4 the Whole year

You don’t lie, man. Tonight’s game should have been awesome - a marquee matchup of top 10 teams. But now what are we supposed to take away from it? That Oklahoma can stomp a Florida team with 6 of its best players opting out (guys that will go in the top rounds) and their Heisman contending QB playing 60-70% of the game? They didn’t need to play the game for me to know that outcome. It’s meaningless. Great, Oklahoma starters on a top 10 team can beat Florida backups on a top 10 team.
The UF guys that opted out were on Offense. They still gave up 55 pts.

Why stop at the bowl games. Last 2 games won't change your draft status. Football as we know it, is over

Playoffs have nothing to do with the opt outs. Back in the day only four or five teams were going into the bowl games with a chance of being voted #1.
Opt outs are just a sign of the times, players know is a business and they are protecting their assest which is their bodies and their health.

And I have ZERO pro with it.
