Vern you reaching here lmao

Naw for real man ..this year the last 5 games Walton showed me he was the best running back,, but last year I had Gus in front of everybody..How sad is that mane? I honestly felt that Gus was not our toughest but our most talented RB.. That should never be the case, but IMO it was

Gus sucked really really bad. Move on.
Yet before he broke his foot he was in line to be our starting RB...and he also beat out Yearby for the #2 RB.... so even if he does sucks your still proving my point

No he wasn't.
Miami football: Gus Edwards out for 2015 season with foot injury | SI.com

Miami running back Gus Edwards will miss the 2015 season with a foot injury, the team announced Sunday.

Edwards, who was projected to be the starting running back, was injured in an Aug. 22 scrimmage and wore a walking boot last week. Coach Al Golden initially said Edwards wasn't expected to miss much time, but learned his injury was worse than originally thought after Edwards was reevaluated. The school has not released the details of his injury.

“Gus worked extremely hard for the last nine month to prepare for this moment,” Golden said Sunday in a statement. “He set a high standard and did a great job leading and being unselfish. We are tremendously disappointed for him, but we will be there with him on the road to recovery and anxiously await his return.”

Yes, He was projected to be our starter. That doesn't mean he SHOULD have been our starter. Yearby is so much better as a runner, and it's really not close. I have no idea what the **** this staff was thinking playing Gus over Yearby. I gotta think he just didn't want to get hurt or something since he knew he was leaving early. It really makes no sense, cause Yearby is looking like he might be a 6th round pick since not as many of the RBs that were expected to declare for this class did.

McFarland is a faster Duke with better size coming in.

So what? Jeff Demps was one of the fastest rbs ever and sucked compared to Duke.

Straight line speed isn't everything. Duke didn't lose speed when he cut and his vision was also great. McFarland isn't there yet.

To answer the question of 'When was the the last time Miami recruited an out of state RB and it panned out?'

Answer: Corn Elder from Tennessee. (ranked by ESPN and Scout as a national level RB recruit out of HS)

This

lol. How people forget... Duke was monster as a freshman and had the best true freshman year by a RB at a school that has produced better RBs than anybody. And he was fast as ****..

Duke is great, I'm a big fan but what I'm saying McFarland is running that fast while being 205 already

Bruh you compared Jeff Demps' weight in his first year in the NFL to McFarland's weight in his senior year in HIGH SCHOOL. lol. McFarland's 205 now and gonna be a 225lb tank by the time he plays in the NFL.

and Burns is as fast and weighs 215...

The point is about what they can do on the field, and eluding to McFarland being able to out do what Duke did coming in is stupid.

No he isnt. Duke was faster as a freshmen than he is now. He was only 185 then which helps but he got up to 206 and ran a 4.54 at the combine and 4.47 at the pro day. Mcfarland is 203 now and 40 was timed at 4.53.

mcfarland looks fast in the film I had seen. Regardless McFarland is a duke johnson type of back. This kid can play receiver and running back very well
