Maybe Lashlee Should Coach from Press Box

Honestly if you go back and look at Romancane's insight on twitter, a few of the sacks weren't on the offensive line. There are simply too many bodies blitzing from the defensive side to account for, and that's on both King for not reading the package correctly and Lashlee for not realizing this and adjusting. For example, we could keep a running back in the backfield to chip (I realize he does this sometimes, but when we go empty set we're f^cked).

Two things first I would bet the guys in the box tell Lashlee what the defense is doing. Second the QB reads the box and is suppose to check out of a bad play to a good play based on the numbers. Also he wants to be hands on with King.
 
Nah. I want communication on the sidelines. It’s the support staff upstairs who are supposed to relay what’s going on from their angles. Y’all just have to live with the fact lashlees is gunna run the air out of the ball..it’s been poor execution up front majority of the time
 
I've wanted this for years, but there is always one excuse or another. The usual excuse is, "We have a young QB and he needs to coach them on the sideline." Well, King is not some green QB, so what is the excuse now?

If so, thats a problem. Gotta have a grey beard up there with some real experience who not only knows what he is seeing but how to counter it.
 
It's better to see things with your own 2 eyes. I'm a huge proponent of having OC & DC in the box. I think "the brains" should be removed from the emotional element the sidelines provide during games. Can't remember the last time we had an OC in the box. Probably when we not only outplayed teams but outcoached them too.

The fact king doesn’t (or maybe isn’t allowed to) check at the line is maddening. Telegraphed blitzers and coverages seem to go right over his head some of the time
