No they're not. Look at Clemson's roster. Teams are picking four or five Florida kids to go with the 80 kids they get from other states.

Again...

This whole conversation is asinine and stupid.

A state that sends the most kids to D1 schools and has the most dudes in the NFL does not produce soft football players. Makes zero fvckin' sense.

Kids don't start in college and get drafted to the NFL by being soft.

Fvck any other argument that has been said in this stupid debate.
THE LEAGUE WHERE THE TOUGHEST AND MOST ELITE FOOTBALL PLAYERS PLAY IS FILLED WITH FLORIDA KIDS.
When dude's profile avi is Richt he's gonna blame everything but his avi for the problems. Next it'll be the Ibis. And the Band of the Hour. And Adidas. The FBI's basketball investigation. Everything but "Richt and co are fumbling the bag in every way possible". I pressed the "Ignore" button. All better now.

Thank you for proving that you don't understand the topic.

Clearly, all the best UM teams had a healthy mix of local and out of state players. Some of the most important and best contributors to our best teams were from outside South Florida.

We’re not able to sign the top South Florida kids these days because the true blue-chip kids are looking for emoluments. The legend of South Florida youth football has grown so much over the last decade that the elite kids are used to being paid and coddled from the their Pop Warner days.

It’s different than it used to be down here, and it’s pretty clear over the last 5 years or so that the top elite kids are winding up at the bag schools every year.

Carol City and Miami Central, two neighborhood public schools, gave IMG everything they wanted despite being out-matched and undersized.

And I've already referenced Deerfield beating Buford GA and blowing out Westlake, and STA absolutely slaughtering Dematha.

Buford had a huge size advantage on Deerfield, a facilities advantage, a coaching advantage and a location advantage...and Deerfield still drove 10 hours to GA and beat that a$$. Buford and their $200k coaching staff and SEC O-line got beat by a neighborhood school who's coaches receiver $1500 stipends (if they're lucky).

How the fvck you accomplish that with a bunch of "soft" players?

Boom. Has nothing to do with FL having soft players. The coaches suck. If Saban was at Miami, we would crush the world with FL talent.

Funny thread.

Arguing Miami is losing bc of the players is nonsense. We've lost bc horrid coaching for 15+ years. Coker, Shannon, Golden, Richt are/were all awful.

Everyone said the defensive players were soft as well under Golden, changed coordinators and automatically a top 25 unit. Same thing would happen with the offense immediately if we hired a legit Xs and Os innovator on O.

Football at Miami isn't that difficult a concept. Wide open offense, get playmakers in space, aggressive, attacking D (which we have now) and prosper. Unfortunately, the leaders up top and our ADs are too stupid to realize this.
