Al is forced to make some coordinator changes and he brings Butch in as DC, making it easy for him to
exit and already have the next coach on staff. Butch gets a chance to ease back in without ruffling
a lot of feathers and gives at least a little excitement back to the fans.

This would be an extra dumb move by Al but no dumber than burying his head in the sand and
refusing to try something new.

You should be negged for suggesting Butch work for Al.

That's like Michael Corleone being an under boss for Fredo for ***** sake.

Not at all. First Butch might take it. He would be home and get his feet back in. Second, it is about the only thing that could save Al's career-- if he lets Butch control everything about the defense and recruiting. I suggest this to Blake before last year but these people don't care. Al would have to swallow his pride and that might not be possible for him.
