You know, like I I have this theory in sports and it applies to boxing, but it applies to all sports. The great offense will always be overrated when it comes up against mediocrity because mediocrity has nothing to stave off the offense, so it gets overwhelmed.

The great well-rounded fighter or team will always be underrated when it goes up against mediocrity because it will beat them, but it'll beat them the way a chess master beats someone, which is you tighten the vice, right? Like you you acrew all these small advantages and in the end you win, but it seemed competitive

Greatest show on turf, right? It's like the great well-rounded team or individual athlete needs another great to go up against to really show you what they have.

Props for being able to pick out the time stamp when sharing. Does he actually talk about ND and Miami or just the overarching point of a good team is better than a great offense?

Just the general point, we may need one of media canes to ask him to comment directly in relation to the specific Miami v ND point

That's actually a really good analogy. To be fair I do think Notre Dame is a good team, but it makes it all the more impressive the way we handled them most of the game.
Anyone who objectively watches that game would tell you it wasn't a fluke win. They keep crying that it was by 3 points with a RS Freshman QB on the road but he was one of the only reasons they were even in that game. Their star RB and other key playmakers were held in check and it was looking like a rout before we went conservative. Everyone agrees on that last point.
