TOM'S TAKE: The Orem (Utah) High monster is about as coveted as you'll find this cycle. This one is too early to truly predict. Tonata has a long way to go before he commits. Alabama, BYU, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, and USC are the big players in this one as of today. I think the West Coast programs are going to make it really difficult for him to leave "home", but there is something about Miami and the top offensive linemen where I believe the Hurricanes could pull off the perceived upset and pull him to Coral Gables.

“I’m going to Texas A&M on September 19,” Tonata said. “I have Alabama set for October 10, BYU October 17, USC October 31, and Utah November 7. I would love to get to Miami too, but they’re on the other side of the country, so it’s tough to work it into my schedule.”

Which I think that is part of the problem. He has already been to Miami would love to get back but wants to see Bama. A trip to Bama just isn’t easy, and the family probably runs out of time runway to get down and see us or anybody else for that matter.

Kid can’t just be skipping school left and right like that anyway. So a Miami trip would be a trip all by itself and at that point they most likely feel it’s all too much.

He will for sure get back down here at some point in the spring and/or next summer.
