Has had good DBs over the years. Some solid DL like Onyedim (transfered to TAMU), Orange, McDonald. Scheme may be interesting to see if he keeps running the 3-3-5 over at PSU. Unclear if he would take Heacock or if he'd stay at ISU. Defense will mostly recruit itself I guess.

Skill positions he's had some great underrated players over the years, which is why I was excited when we got Parris.
QB Becht, Purdy both pretty good.
RB Breece Hall, Montgomery, now Abu Sama/Hanson both pretty solid.
WR Hutchinson, Noel, Higgins.
TE Kolar, Brahmer

I'm guessing they will have pretty similar results to Franklin with maybe a little more consistency in occasionally beating the top teams.

For all their swing and misses on Sitake and who knows else, PSU may have backed into its best choice at the end of day

Definition of a program guy. Will Campbell's model elevate the Nittany Lions to beyond what Franklin accomplished?

Kinda reminds me of BJ landing Richt. I think he’s going to be good but I don’t think he’s going to be e huge improvement over Franklin. But many coaches wouldn’t be.

he is a better coach than Franklin.
and he is a better recruiter

guy took a moribund Iowa STATE team and turned them into a team that beat down Miami last year.

he will have fertile recruiting ground in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Ohio

Uhm, we win that game if we have that Cam Ward guy in the 2nd half as opposed to Emory.
 
Great game day coach and coaches up 3 star kids into studs. I saw how well he did at Toledo and made Iowa St a real team.

i didn’t think he’d ever leave iowa state. great hire from a development and coaching standpoint but a lot will depend on who he hires as a gm to build the roster.
