He went 7-5 two of the last 3 years with the other season winning 8 Games. He has a 26-24 record at Iowa State. He rarely wins big games either. I get that Iowa State was nothing before he got there but he turned them into a 7 win a year team. Is that really that impressive?

In 2017 he beat both OU and TCU, both highly ranked teams that year.

In 2018 he beat a ranked Okie State and highly ranked West VA.

In 2019 he lost to ranked a ranked Iowa by 1, to highly ranked Baylor by 2 and highly ranked OU by 1.

So two teams fighting for the college playoffs he lost to by a combined 3 points on the road.
