Iowa State’s total offense rankings the last 3 years under Campbell.

I get that he’s at a smaller school, but so is Mike Leach. This guy’s offense has gotten worse and he’s plummeting down closer to the 100s. Why should he at all arouse me?

Plus his QB situation has never been healthy. Multiple injuries last 2 years...Purdy was his 3rd string.

YOu are wrong about Houston and Cinci.

Currently WSU has 3 4 stars.

Houston has 1 5 star and 5 4 stars.

Cinci has 2 4 stars which is only 1 less than a P5 team.

Rutgers is in one of the schittiest cities in NJ and they recruit better. If WSU was actually able to win consistently instead of only when they get lucky and land an elite QB for one year. Then they would have boost in attendance as well. Then their only excuse is being in a schitty area which also holds true for almost all of the B1G and SEC schools

Ummm.....No. Syracuse is recruting better RIGHT NOW. Leach has the benefit of being their 7 years. Dino is finally getting his guys in. So the fact that he is out recrutiing leach in the 2019 season says everything.

Look at the composite rankings. Houston has a BETTER ranking than WSU. USFs total recruiting points are 558, cinci is 549. WSU is 569.

You have NO IDEA What you are talking about. Leach is one of the worst recruiters in the P5 and AAC bar none. As I stated before most of these schools are in the middle of nowhere yet they find a way to recruit players.

Miami had their chance at Leach and would not even return his phone calls when he came begging for the job.
Campbell has had NFL feelers.

In other words, you have no evidence of Mike Leach begging for the Miami job. That’s all you had to say.

I remember boosting him here a few years ago when he was at Toledo. There was a related thread. A few others were interested but he wasn't the **** name at the time. I think that honor went to Fuente of Memphis. I preferred Campbell.

We missed the boat. I was surprised Campbell jumped on the Iowa State job so quickly when seemingly higher opportunities were out there. I think he took the Iowa State job just after the regular season ended and a week or so before we signed Richt.

I may laugh for a month. Mike Leach runs the ball 22 times per game. Second last in the country was 29.5 times per game. When you have that type of fragile imbalance there are always teams ready and willing to absolutely abuse you. It would be all time hilarity if a Leach offense faced the likes of Saban and Alabama.

The great news is that every time Mike Leach becomes overstated you can always guarantee he will be exposed, like the Washington game this season. And future seasons.

He narrowly defeated Iowa State, with plenty of help. That's wonderful.

Full credit to the posters here who understand the big picture, and don't fall for the Mike Leach hype every time it surfaces. It remains one of the great litmus tests of all time...opinion of Mike Leach as head football coach. Anyone with a high end view flunks, and is guaranteed to butcher the big picture perspectives going forward.
 
Leach's offense is a gimmick.....there is a reason he has never won anything. Why bring a guy that cant recruit. There is a reson he only gets 3*. Why arent top tier WRs going to play for him? Why arent top tier QBs lining up?

Leach...LOL. He’s totally gross & looks like a slob...couldn’t wait to see him spitting into the microphone & all over the press room. Worse than Randy Shannon & his freshmens. :mad::mad::mad:
