Our next head coach will be Manny Diaz... He's been a D1 HC for over 10 days!!!

The more I watch this game vs. Leech the more I want Campbell. He’s given a bigger stage than Toledo and he’s done the same thing. Found a QB with only 2 offers just like Woodside, found Hakeem Butler, found David Montgomery, found that safety Eisworth(at a community College btw), and this guy Heacock that he hired as a DC is a stud and plays a similar D to Manny. Bring me Mr. Campbell...give em 4.5 and tell em to bring Heacock.

No matter what happens tonight I think he needs to be target number 1 for our next head coach since we arent gonna give the pirate the chance he deserves. For me I would go
1. Leach
2. Campbell
3. Shouldnt be any other targets

Great coach but his personality makes him an odd fit at a Miami, USC etc.

Could not agree more. He checks about every box. Winner, innovative, developer, eye for talent, great hires, improves programs.

Matt Campbell isn't coming to Miami. He can easily hold out for another 2-3 years at ISU, keep going to bowl games, and end up with a top end job. I know this is going to shock the mouth breathers around here, but Miami isn't, nor will it ever be a top 10 gig. In modern college football, there are just too many obstacles in the way for you to meet the sometimes unrealistic expectations that comes with this job. Is it a good job? Yes, but if you can wait for an OU(Lincoln Riley is going to the NFL sooner than later), for an Ohio State, for an Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, etc. you do that. That's what Campbell is most likely doing. He may end up at USC in a year, he may end up at Auburn, he may even get a shot at Michigan if Harbaugh gets an offer he can't refuse.

You make that call, but history indicates that a guy like that isn't interested. It's time to face reality, and start looking at the Mike Norvells and Scott Satterfields of the world when that time comes. Miami has to hit on a mid major guy, and live with the consequences. The problem is that for every stud mid major guy, you have 10 Al Golden types roaming about.

Leach isn't leaving Pullman. Dude is living the life there. Loves the Pacific Northwest and expectations are super-low at WSU. They were picked fifth in the Pac-12 North this year and were a screwed call at USC (re: non-targeting on Minshew) from finishing 11-1 overall and 8-1, which would've had them winning the division and going to the Rose Bowl against Ohio State.

Granted this was all the result of the Gardner Minshew transfer and they'll fall way off next year—but there's a reason the dude didn't jump when other schools have come calling over the years (re: Tennessee, etc). Likes to be that big fish in a little pond, opposed to dealing with the scrutiny he'd get at a bigger program. Check his track record and prove me wrong. There's a reason he's never taken a big job in his career and continues to fly under the radar.
Leach would take the Miami job in less than a heartbeat.

Smh...why does nobody mention Lance Leipold?

Guy is the only coach not named Nick Saban with 5+ championships....and now he’s winning big at Buffalo. Nobody wins at Buffalo.
Leipold is nice. My only concern is that he's 54. Campbell and Brown are 39 and 38.
