Mathematicaly, can we...

We'd need a King Ralph style event for that to happen.

- The losses happened at the beginning of the season.
- The margin of victory was by four or fewer points.
- They were against quality opponents (as tough as it is to swallow the pride, we'll want Florida to continue winning out--except a loss or two maybe to Georgia--as it will diminish the harshness of that loss)

If any of those other teams lose in weeks 6-13 and the manner in which they lose appears bad those losses will look far worse than our early season losses.

I'm just playing devils advocate here. I honestly don't believe this year is the year we do it but I do think we're on the rise to getting there. Just a year or two more of development and we'll be there.

UNC is a quality opponent? Have you seen what they have done in the two weeks since their win over us?

I thought so at the time. They entered the game having just defeated South Carolina at a neutral site. Not that S.Car. was a world beater or anything but many were shocked that UNC won that game. Pair that up with the fact that we we're only -5.5 going into Chapel Hill.

Of course we cannot control when other teams collapse but at the time they were a quality opponent and who knows--perhaps they will turn up to be a quality opponent still when the regular season is all done.
