I know Mike Ryan mentioned Mateer might hit the portal. I called my OU buddy and he heard Mateer is gonna enter. Do we think Miami will kick the tires here?

I thought the decision was to return or go pro.
That said, when I compare him to Bailey, I look at how they performed against the best competition.

Before Mateer got hurt, he was getting good pub as the type of dual threat qb we were wanting last offseason and doing it against pretty good comp. Pretty obvious he came back too soon and that impacted him but he’s a gamer.

Again, I think we go with Bailey, but looking at just these two, it seems Bailey is the bigger gamble.

I think he would kill it here. OU is a mess on offense - they had him doing QB runs pretty **** often. OU cost him millions. Only way he can recoup that is go elsewhere

5A. Mateer

5C. Sorsby
5D. Hoover

Any of these guys and I’m happy with QB situation.
