I also still want to know what the inside joke was? I am trying to fathom how that could be an inside joke? Like i could see someone putting maybe a description of "for the hooker" in a description, everyone assume it was for a prostitute, then you found out the guy sold the other guy a boat called dirty hooker or something dumb, that checks out as an "inside joke" so if this was funny, spill the rest of the story otherwise its not a very good inside joke lol

This seems like a load of bull****.

How much were these payments? And they were made in 2022? Somebody wants to investigate a couple of friendly wagers on sports games between friends? Games neither person had any involvement in? This doesn’t seem like online sports gambling or walking into a casino and throwing down some money.

This seems a little more than a nobody sports writer, if that’s what you want to call an Internet troll. Why is somebody going through someone’s Venmo transactions from three years ago? Was Mateer under investigation for something else and these payments happened to be noticed? How did all this bull**** start?

What’s next? Someone has their reputation stained because they bet who is picking up the tab while watching a football game at the local bar? Oh no, were they drinking? What were they drinking? Why were they drinking? Were they of legal age to be drinking? Is the bar owned by the mob?

If he was betting on hockey or basketball, then an argument can be had that there's no harm no foul. But if you can't see the problem with players gambling on the sport they play in, I don't know what to tell you. Especially now when he has the ability to directly influence the bets that he is placing.
