MARTINEZ is not hurt

If you pay close attention all of our back dance at the line. Only difference is some do it faster. These tight splits on the line is not doing these backs any favors. Look at all our big runs from this year and you will see they all started inside and broke to the outside. This is not a rb friendly offense being honest

Who is a scheme fit. This running between the guards(cant even say tackles cause we dont go out that far) is horrible. How many are DESIGNED to run outside not the run into the middle and the RB bounces but actually go outside.

I said the same in another post. Dawson is doing none of the RBs a favor with the run calls and fits. He makes it easy on the defense

It's why I'm convinced the majority of the board lives in Bizarro world.

Martinez had 74yds from scrimmage, more than all of the other RB's combined, but yet he needs to be benched in favor of the less productive players?

CIS is really a one of a kind place lol.
 
Martinez would be much better utilized in the pistol and we would be much the wiser to vary some calls and widen our splits.
Martinez and Lyle probably our best two pure backs right now and fletcher vs Allen for third

He made easy yards look tough today. Had the chance to break several big runs and ended up getting tackled for an ok gain.

I'd like to see Allen and Lyle get more carries - I think they're just better RBs.

I think the OL splits is on Mario/Mirabal. I've never seen so many IZ runs killed by the backside contain defender / 5 tech. Our lineman are so close together that nearly every squeezing DE is right there for the tackle

I agree with that, but there's one thing that's been true all season. This OL isn't good at run blocking. They can't consistently open a hole to save their lives. Martinez and Fletcher need time and space to get going. Neither is quick from the jump nor agile. They're decent or even good for their size, but our holes shift and where they're supposed to go and hit it hard, too often it isn't there. They don't trust the line to open a hole consistently and it shows in the way they approach the line.

Also, I won't throw Martinez until other RBs appear more effecient in the offense, which nobody does. I do think we need Allen to have more carries.

OL is overrated af. Fletcher sucked, Lyle sucked. Martinez “sucked”.
