That's the point though, with the right offense this season could've been completely different. Tate happens to be the type of QB to run what we need to do best. I agree it shouldn't be **** because he's never done it before and I agree, if he just puts Tate out there and continues pro style bro, we're screwed

I don’t disagree w you. What I’m saying is QB is not the problem. It’s the Offense.

Sometimes numbers don’t tell the entire story. If he showed a sample of that he wouldn’t be here. He’ll still be at OSU. Plus since Jackson hit Louisville’s campus his play was nothing near a 4.7. Y’all overhyping this young man only to be the first to tear him down. The kid has been away from the team and y’all still expecting an all time performance. I think he’s severely overrated by our fanbase for some odd reason. Y’all not even asking for Matocha. It’s like y’all are a cult.

Anyway, if Manny trot Tate out there after the young man battled personal issues all year then something is wrong with him. Give him a shot when he’s all clear mentally. But if he kills it then there won’t be an issue, however I think a kid that’s been away on multiple occasions is more likely to struggle than ball out.
Where you see me, or most of the posters hyping him? Most of us, myself included, say we DON'T KNOW how he will do on the field as a QB at Miami. He is definitely very athletic for a QB and that's what those numbers show. We only want to see how he does after we saw the other two struggle to be the leader of this team.
I said it many times and I will say it again: If we have a good QB emerging this year and our team lived up to expectations, Tate would have been an afterthought. He would have been forgotten by now.

This kid is a winner! Williams an Perry obviously aren't the answer right now! Spread it out an let this kind play some football. Perry has had 2 seasons of 6 loses an couldn't win the job Jarren takes to many sacks an doesn't seem to wanna win at all cost! Watch this dude drop 50 an go into next year the starter hes perfect for a spread an our weapons! He should have been given a chance took gettin our **** kicked in vs GT,FIU, Vag tech barely beat CMU lmao!! Tf we got to lose why take his transfer to sit the bench? Practice an game is different I hated practice got chills an a love for the game that would give me chills during game time! Go Canes!!!!!

@The Franchise made a Post along these lines. There are PLENTY of dudes who throw a nice ball have nice arm strength and all the flash but didn’t win in HS and don’t win now. Then there areguys with all sorts of question marks who just win. Tate is certainly in the latter. Let him play and play freely and we may have something.

If you don’t see most posters hyping him up then I can’t tell you anything. Most posters who advocate for Tate overhype the kid all the time. And the only time Tate would have been an afterthought is if we won 11-1 and I still doubt that because when JW and Perry both had great games, we had these threads popping up. The kid hasn’t been focused on football all year. It’s a disservice to him and the team to have trot out there in the bowl game. If he kills it then great, but if he struggles that’s expected and it’s the coaches fault.

As for his athleticism. I don’t believe he ran a 3.96. He would have been the fastest player at the 2019 combine. And if he showed that athleticism, I really believe that OSU would have fought harder for him to stay. I mean the last time they had a player with that athleticism was Braxton Miller... I really don’t understand the fanfare. Why doesn’t anyone want to see Matocha?

You think Robert Burns should be ahead of Lingard? Wiggins ahead of Pope? Nelson ahead of the waterboy at LT?

Not sure Wiggins is a good point here. Even last season he was wide open fairly often but had stone hands. Played pretty well this season.

I have no idea how Tate will do in his first start. IF he ever starts.
But if you have a QB on your roster that is athletically better than a guy called Lamar Jackson and you don't at least give him a try..............then you are an idiot of a coach.
Especially when the other two QB you have failed to establish themselves as leaders.

So you think that he’s better than Jackson while he was at L. Ville:jordan:

Do you have a reading problem? Where did I say he is better QB? Seriously, either you have a reading comprehension deficit or you're a teenager posting in grown up's forum. All I said he is "more athletic" and even started by saying "I have no idea how he will do in his first start".
I suggest you go back to school and finish your education. It is good for your future.

So you think Hightower wasn't mismanaged?
The fact is, our coaches suck in all aspects of coaching.

I never said Hightower was not mismanaged. I said personnel decisions are easier than playcalling and scheming. I think a lot of coaches are gonna ***** things up here and there. Hightower’s the best example I’ve read so far on personnel (in this thread). But I don’t think Burns over Lingard (who tore his acl last season) or Nelson (the tallest midget) or JW at QB are good examples of bad personnel decisions. GR15 is a very good example of bad personnel management on the other side of the ball.

I think bad means unreasonable. It doesn’t mean not perfect.

It’s really hard to ***** personnel up top to bottom. Enos didn’t do that Overall although you could certainly find examples of ***** ups.

What is entirely unreasonable is his scheme and play calling. This is what I choose to focus on w Enos. It’s so glaring.

Take for example, the VT second half. Oh look what JT4 can do! Or FSU/Louisville. Oh my we aren’t giving up a dozen sacks, and JW is breaking TD records!

It is amazing to me that Enos can’t see what works w this team right in front of him.

He doesn’t run an offense that exaggerates our talent. He runs one that exaggerates our deficiencies.

Which gets me to my original point. We suck bc of Diaz’s choice of offensive coordinator, not because of his choice of QB1. This is just another example of blame the players not the corch.

P.S. when this ******* Enos puts Tate in spread uptempo (which matches our personnel And which both Perry and JW did well with), he may do very well running it. I expect him to.

So Enos saves his job. And we get to see him go back to forcing his bro style offense on us next season.

Just remember. All our QBs do well in spread uptempo.
