Supposedly tate got majority of qb snaps today. Embarrassing we let a kid who quit and didn't show up to practice for 3 months come back and now become a starter
You not watch us play this season? The majority of the team either quit or didnt show up this year. How's he any different?

if Martell tears it up in the bowl game it will be even more of an indictment of Enos taking too long to understand his personnel issues.

I have no idea how Tate will do in his first start. IF he ever starts.
But if you have a QB on your roster that is athletically better than a guy called Lamar Jackson and you don't at least give him a try..............then you are an idiot of a coach.
Especially when the other two QB you have failed to establish themselves as leaders.

What’s more embarrassing is never giving the kid a chance while “lazy ***” Williams and “no film study” Perry stunk it up this year and showed themselves to be about as good a leaders as Manure Diaz Sr was for the city of Miami. 🤢🤮 and junior is for UM. Smh

idgaf who’s qb1.
All I know is we’ve seen enough of kosi and Jarren.
Offensive line or not jarren went 3-4 with 3 picks on our side of the field. And I was a JW believer.
I see no qb with any heart or passion at the qb spot this season.
No one we’ve played has given 3 fcks about our qb’s running the past 7 years. Idk If Tate quit or what since everyone on here seems to know everything just cause they post it. What I do know for a fact is that there was a ton of open field this year than any qb that has any athleticism would’ve exposed easily and at the very very least it would keep drives alive and avoid 3rd and long over and over again. Our offense has done nothing to gas out opposing defenses. The last time we had a defense huffing and puffing was 2 games against FSU.
We’re 6-6 in freaking Shreveport!! What do we have to lose. This love affair people have with doubling down on any qb we have is crazy talk. Some People called the ravens dumb for picking Lamar so high. Not saying Tate is Lamar. Not saying Tate will work. Burrow allegedly sucked at osu.
You try anything and everything to see if it works.
I dont care if it’s la tech. If tate puts up 30 points it’s 30 points the other qb’s wouldn’t be able to do.

Long as Enos has been coaching He is who He is. Rarely if ever do you see a coach go from 21-22 personnel to a super duper spread...a leopard doesn't change it's spots.
Bobby Petrino disagrees, he pretty much ran the same **** Enos runs but when he got Lamar Jackson on his roster when he cameback for his second stint, he went full spread. If Enos is a good coach he'll do the same and have many bring in a new offensive line coach that has coached linemen in said scheme and a wr coach same qualification. Also one of the two new assistants wr or ol coach should be co offensive coordinator.

What's clear is neither of our "starting QBs" have played well or provided leadership with and consistency. Tate transferred in with a reputation for BOTH. and we need BOTH. It's time to see if Tate can provide that much needed leadership quality that has been sorely missed.
I didn’t see anybody talking about how kosi or jw we’re staying after practice and throwing to receivers during spring ball. No qb took charge and set the tone at all.
Tate played with and against more talented teams and higher pressure games than any of our qb’s did in high school and never lost. Give the dude a chance at least.

I really don’t understand the love fest for this dude.... most have never seen him throw a pass and he has quit on the team multiple times this year... smh FOH Manny wit dat BS

Thank you. Was reading this thread to see someone take this stance.

In the 15 years Miami has been in the toilet, I've never seen our fan base as cucked as they are regarding both Tate Martell and Jeff Thomas. The lovefest towards both—and legend becoming reality—is flat out pathetic.

Martell's undefeated high school record, "swag" on a Netflix show and overplayed highlight reel from garbage time against Rutgers, while at Ohio State—it's somehow made this kid the second coming?

Dude rolled into Greentree in spring and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn—and couldn't beat out both Perry and Williams—but HAD he gotten the starting job, the Canes would've rolled this year.

Now dude has bailed twice this season and has his head so far of his insta-famous girlfriend's culo, he doesn't know up from down—alienating himself from his family—but people still want him to get another chance.

Meanwhile, Thomas got suspended last year, left the program, was welcomed back for a second chance, was completely checked out all season, got suspended again, appears to have been called out in a team meeting by Harley and others for being lazy, entitled and not working hard enough—only to say he's leaving early, despite proving nothing (outside of having some god-given talent)—and everyone's gonna say dude would've been a Heisman contender elsewhere and that all of his issues are the faults of a coaching staff that didn't use him right.

... and we wonder why we have a team full of entitled kids who just roll over against the likes of FIU and Duke.

if he tears it up in bowl game it will be because Enos changed his offense. Like when JW tore it up vs FSU and Louisville. Or how Perry tore it up second half vs VT. It won’t be any different. But Miami bro fans will claim all we needed was the right qb. Exactly what Manure Diaz wants you all to think. And as soon as Enos goes back to his bro style offense, we will suck again. Tate Martell was third string because the other QBs were better. Our offense sucks bc of Enos—not any single player.

So let me get this straight. You think Enos is a terrible OC, yet you think his judgement of Tate Martell as the third string QB is gospel.

That's the point though, with the right offense this season could've been completely different. Tate happens to be the type of QB to run what we need to do best. I agree it shouldn't be **** because he's never done it before and I agree, if he just puts Tate out there and continues pro style bro, we're screwed

Personnel decisions are different and easier from play calling.

But If he’s going to play Instagram Martell after the guy quit on team for a month, his judgment sucks there too.

Oh so you think Enos is good at making personnel decisions?
All of these guys have Instagram and they all post frequently. Is your issue with Tate that his includes an attractive female that you’d never have a chance to get? Personally, I’m jealous of Jarren more, I mean where can I get a player of the week against Central Michigan plaque?

Sometimes numbers don’t tell the entire story. If he showed a sample of that he wouldn’t be here. He’ll still be at OSU. Plus since Jackson hit Louisville’s campus his play was nothing near a 4.7. Y’all overhyping this young man only to be the first to tear him down. The kid has been away from the team and y’all still expecting an all time performance. I think he’s severely overrated by our fanbase for some odd reason. Y’all not even asking for Matocha. It’s like y’all are a cult.

Anyway, if Manny trot Tate out there after the young man battled personal issues all year then something is wrong with him. Give him a shot when he’s all clear mentally. But if he kills it then there won’t be an issue, however I think a kid that’s been away on multiple occasions is more likely to struggle than ball out.

I don’t think Enos is bad at personnel decisions. Certainly not as bad as his play calling.
