In the same position I'm sorry but as a guy who actually played football and has a sense of pride why the **** would I follow and fight for a guy who hasn't even been here for most of the season how are u gonna be the voice of our team when u weren't hear and now that ur all ok I have to listen to u and have u tell me that I'm not working hard enough at times and I need to do my job

Good for you.
The fact is Willis took a year off to get his life in order, came back and did a hella of job for us and was the most disruptive player on defense. You don't know what's going on in those young people lives so please stop being judgemental.

This is the big problem. If we had a good season and lived up to expectation, Tate would have been forgotten this time of the year. If we had at least one good QB emerging at the mid-season or at end of season, nobody will be thinking about Tate. But the whole season and QB play was a big fiasco, hence we are wondering............

I really don’t question Williams in ability as a QB, but I do question his ability as a leader. This is a double edged sword as Martell didn’t win it in the offseason necessarily but the staff under manny hasn’t validated themselves in this regard as well.

Jarren, has unvalidated his winning the job logic by his wildly inconsistent play. Kosi too. Diaz f'd up by not playing Tate earlier. Time to roll with Tate.

Looking forward to seeing what a kid who was undefeated in HS and was handpicked by Meyer can do.

I know his passing and accuracy are inconsistent and not pretty to watch. So were Jim McMahon’s. It’s the intangibles including his elite shuttle and elusiveness that interests me. Spread em and go gun, Will at least make the bowl game worth watching now.

Williams is only a RS Fresh..I judge him accordingly..all his issues are young football player related..nothing has come up off the field. Therefore I’m not out on Jarren. The kid has goods. If the oline improves he will be even better

sad what my Canes have come too... cats are on here arguing and fussing about which players had the best reason to quit the team for whatever period of time and how they should be accepted back with open arms..... **** happens to people everyday you can’t just quit and restart... this program has a lot of rehabbing to do

Outside of the fact that that’s what has been said that he left the team multiple times... nah I don’t, to me that’s quitting, the team that you are a member of is in a mist of a losing streak and you leave?maybe you get in a make something happen but you need time off?..... but help me find where I said he “quite” I don’t remember saying that

Kid, and the coaches says he left for personal reasons..don’t matter too me what those reason are. He was the 3string QB lol.., he didn’t just up and quite abd not say anything. If he had done a JT for example blew off ther coaches and went Awall I’d be with u..but you just like me have no clue what the reason was..

This kid is a winner! Williams an Perry obviously aren't the answer right now! Spread it out an let this kind play some football. Perry has had 2 seasons of 6 loses an couldn't win the job Jarren takes to many sacks an doesn't seem to wanna win at all cost! Watch this dude drop 50 an go into next year the starter hes perfect for a spread an our weapons! He should have been given a chance took gettin our **** kicked in vs GT,FIU, Vag tech barely beat CMU lmao!! Tf we got to lose why take his transfer to sit the bench? Practice an game is different I hated practice got chills an a love for the game that would give me chills during game time! Go Canes!!!!!

I don't question his physical ability one bit. What I question is his ability to find the open guy and get him the ball. The best QBs have it right between the ears, and so far no QB on our roster has proven to have that. Tate can run and improvise. Williams can be accurate. Perry has a cannon and can stretch the field. But where is the QB that can see one defender covering two WRs? That's the dude I want on the field. The guy that can see what the D is giving him, and take it every time.

When we find that, we will find our leader on O.
 
My problem is not with Tate for taking time off or quitting as some of you maroons put it...

... i am more concerned about the players and coaches who quit on the field this season... half assing their way through games and dancing on the sidelines... no fear or remorse in losing to teams like GT, FIU, Duke and CMU....
