Martell will make a great backup to Jarren Williams.
Hey, if that happens it means Williams is legit. We have real competition in the qb room now.
Martell will make a great backup to Jarren Williams.

I don't feel that criticism is fair. While I believe Jarren genuinely was not ready to be a starter out there last season (and that's why he wasn't playing, not because of some grandiose conspiracy theory), I also absolutely believe that was in large part because of the poor (see: zero) development he was getting from the previous staff, particularly Jr.Williams couldn't beat out Weldon either

Jarren will have his chance this year. He's learning under a true QB guru now. If he's got the goods as many believe he does, then he'll win the job. It's that simple.
Here's the thing. When speaking of the quarterbacks last year, mark richt specifically said that Jarren Williams had the best arm Talent. If that is the case , it is pretty clear that despite Jarren Williams' arm Talent, Mark richt did not know how to use him. Maybe that is the reason why MR wanted Cam Newton to play tight end.
There's SOOOOO much more to being a successful (even a competent) QB at the D1 level than arm talent. The staff felt Jarren simply wasn't ready to handle all of those aspects of being the starting QB. That doesn't shock me a bit; it's usually the case with 18 year old kids. But again, like I said above, that is in large part due to the failure of CMR and his staff (see: CMR Jr) in getting him the proper coaching so he WAS ready. So I agree the coaches are to blame, I just don't agree that Jarren was the guy and ready to be a great QB out there last season and the staff just refused to play him because of stubbornness or some wild conspiracy theory. No, he just wasn't ready, and the staff failed entirely in developing him whatsoever throughout the season. Here's the thing. Thankfully, now we have Enos.
According to who, the amazing decision makers Mark and Jon Richt?Jarren Williams couldn't even beat out rosier or Perry. If Martell gets his waiver, he is the starter from day one
Watched Tate Martell in QB 1. His whole vibe screamed vat of Axe Body Spray...That being said...here's hoping that the Martell/Williams/Perry competition produces at least one highly productive college QB.All u have to do is watch Tate Martell. His whole vibe just screams Miami QB. When he gets eligible, he's our starter. He may even be one of those QBs that stays for their RS Senior year.
Sorry, I really like Jarren but Martell is our future. Especially the way El Jefe and Enos want to run the offense.Be that as it may, Jarren Williams is the best quarterback on the roster.
If Perry does not adjust , he will be a JAG in a heartbeat.....no one will wait for him to get current, or play like he knows what he is doing...for Manny it is "show me NOW".IDK about this guy... yea he’s good against teams that were already put away but I don’t know if I’ll take him over Perry.... after watching that highlight I think Perry will benefit from a better scheme/coaching and come out QB#1
Number 18 it is:
Haha, yeah right.Martell will make a great backup to Jarren Williams.
If you'd seen QB1 you'd know Tate Martell wouldn't use Axe Body Spray in a million years . . .Watched Tate Martell in QB 1. His whole vibe screamed vat of Axe Body Spray...That being said...here's hoping that the Martell/Williams/Perry competition produces at least one highly productive college QB.
I worry about Martels maturity. He doesn’t seem that much more mature than Perry

You guys are great. A thread about Tate Martell's Jersey number bring out so many valid Opinions. Tate Martell has proved he can win when given the opportunity. Tate Martell has proven (on QB1 Netflix) that he can read the Defense and make a better play than his coaches designed. Tate Martell has a "IT" factor. That being said I trust Dan Enos and wouldn't question Tate Martell, Jarren Williams and even N'Kosi Perry starting against Florida. The last offensive staff didn't come "To Win".
