Markeith Williams Ballin in practice!

His problem is not about being around the ball and anticipation of plays. It's when he comes up to support the run or make tackles in the open field against TEs or big WRs and getting trucked and giving up a back breaking play. Sadly, I think this will always be an issue for him, but I hope he proves me wrong.

Looking forward to seeing what he’s got. Seems like he’s been inconsistent and also struggled in the S&C. Those picks have been against the twos and threes, too.

But I have faith that competition breeds greatness so now that he’s facing being moved over by Meesh and passed up by Patterson, he will either step up or lose his shot. Pressure bursts pipes but pressure also produces diamonds. Which will it be?

Lol you’ve never seen him get trucked or give up a big play when he has played. I seen that happen to Cam often and he was an all American. People look at the bowl game and say he’s light, but the RB he was tackling was getting pushed by 2-3 when our safeties hit him because our d-line was non existent that game. Rutgers got like 50 yards off pushing the pile alone smh

I get it, it’s practice, but this kids game is definitely not just practice hype. Saw it last year in the bowl game. He was everywhere and almost had a pic. He has great length (⏸️), motor, speed and instincts. Those traits can’t be taught
I think you could have expressed your excitement w/o the I told you so. Those have a history of backfiring but that's just my opinion. Personally, I hope you are correct.

In all fairness, Kam played exponentially more reps so his potential for that to happen to him increases…. Especially if you count the number of 1st and 2nd down snaps (typical run downs) played by Kam vs Markeith.

Comparing the two isn’t even footing.

Lol backfiring? I’m not worried about that. It’s up to Markeith to play his game when he’s called upon, not me. I just s

i wasn’t comparing them, just saying that good players make mistakes. If that was the case every game would end 0-0.

IMO, he can only play F$ in this system. I think he is one year away in development and our current depth doesn’t help him much. We have a lot of Free Safeties and not as many Boundaries and Nickels.
Powell should be played at strong safety.

Heard the kid balled out in the scrimmage today as well!! Was everywhere as usual and had another pic! Just has a nose for the ball. Gonna be tough to keep him off the field.

cant play if your body aint developing bruh its that simple. JMO though
Lmao not every player gonna look like Hulk. Especially at the DB or WR positions. It’s cool if they are big and strong, but it’s not the end all be all. Dude has everything but weight, so that’s why I’m not concerned about the weight. He will eventually gain his man girth (pause)… Word to Jada Pickett Smith lol

Hopefully when he does he doesnt lose a step but you cant take the beating physically all year being a stick. He better do something or it might be to late and he will get passed up with incoming kids. We shall see but they said he had a good scrimmage so good for him, I wasn't expecting anything from him after silence for awhile.
