Mark Walton

NOT MAKING ANY EXCUSES FOR HIM BUT!!

21, a parent at 21, losing his mother at a younger age.

Playing in the NFL, you have to have a “big dog” mentality to survive. At times that leads to being hostile and irrational at certain times. If you played ball before you get my drift.

Maybe he needs to speak with professional counselors and let all that that’s in him out positively and get himself back on track.

Being out of the league at 21 without a BA (assuming because he left early, sorry if wrong ) is hard times for anyone. Especially with a kid.

I replied to a post dat said it was impossible to defend him by pointing out part of our cot dam Constitution.
I was talking about me personally, not a court of law. I wasn't advocating for Mark not getting constitutional due process. I'm saying at this point, it's impossible for us as fans to defend Mark from what is now a long series of incidents that reveal character issues that go well beyond just bad luck or bad timing. But you do you, canedog!

Sounds like excuses to me

It's a shame. He could have had his kid set up for life.

Mark Walton signed a 4 year, $3,145,347 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, including a $685,347 signing bonus, $685,347 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $786,337. In 2019, Walton will earn a base salary of $570,000,

If he's cut and never plays another down in the NFL he won't have enough money to last his own lifetime, let alone his kid's. Factor in taxes, agent fees, a lavish lifestyle, etc. and I doubt he has a few hundred grand in the bank.

Kid needs professional help. Otherwise he will end up in prison. Better be examined for CTE problems, too.(I say that now because he was never in trouble when he played for us,)

FYI:

Anger and Impulse control issues = CTE

He was a good kid while at UM and never had any troubles.

Stop the high-mighty judgements. This person’s brain is showing “frontal lobe” injuries from the constant impacts that RB’s take to the head when they collide with the defense.

Walton traveled the Primrose Path based on his talent....But, now he's on the on ramp to the Boulevard of Broken Dreams...and the intersection with the Highway to **** is only a few more arrests down the road....Hopefully, this last issue was a wake up call for Mark...

This is sad to see. Character was something no one could question while he was here.

From the outside looking in - seems like there's much more going on here mentally than just making dumb mistakes.

If the Bengals cut him, I hope he has some type of support system to help him.

C'mon, man. CTE is real no doubt, but it can't be used an excuse for anything and everything someone who played football does. There are 10s of thousands of people who took more head shots than Mark did who aren't out doing stupid sh-t and getting arrested by cops three times in a month.

You can't fix stupid and he's a special kind of stupid.

Hope he figures out his problems or its just a matter of time until he's behind bars or on the other side. Kids need parents, hope his get to keep theirs.

Hate to say this but Football will be a dead sport (like baseball) in another generation.

Who of us would want our kids playing FB and having their brains bashed everyday? And creating completely dysfunctional humans out of them that will either end up dead or in prison?
The people with CTE got it from playing with obsolete helmet technology at a time when there was no concussion protocols or rules to prevent head injury.

If football dies it will be because of a lack of interest on the part of the fans, not the players.
