Mark Walton Top Returning Running Back in the ACC

Of the returning backs? Yeah for sure

No... We should include the backs who have graduated college or entered the draft and throw in guys who are early enrollees and high school juniors who have never played a down in college... for shît's and giggles.

Agreed. Some freshman or new starters might be good this year, but how are we supposed to judge them
yet. Walton probably is the best of any returning RBs.

I'm calling BS unless we include Walter Payton in these rankings.

Agreed. If we don't include dead running backs these rankings are bunk.

If NCAA football was still out Mark Walton Ahmmon Richards and Joe Jackson would be the 3 impact players for this season.

I just don't understand the Mark Walton slander. 23 touchdowns in in 26 games. Threat out of the back field with 50 receptions and over 500 yards. Great balance. Good speed. Closed MULTIPLE games for us last year. He's not a Heisman back, but he's going to be All Conference next year. WTF am I missing?

He went from 3.5 in 2015 to 5.3 ypc in 2016. He's only 19 y/o.

Has anyone talked about his pass protection yet?

He's highly underrated in that aspect. And it's likely the reason Yearby couldn't get on the field.

Some guys are d i c ks. The kid is very good.

Lots of setting yourselves up for disappointment on here. Being the best of a down ACC year doesn't mean much. We still need him to take a major step forward in terms of development to help this team achieve 10 wins. Hopefully his vision has improved along with the run blocking.
