With Dalvin Cook, Matthew Dayes and Wayne Gallman moving on to the NFL, Mark Walton is the leading returning RB in the ACC. In 2016 he rushed for 1,117 yards in 209 attempts adding 14 rushing TD's. He is also a very good receiver out of the backfield racking up 240 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in just 27 receptions. All for a kid who should have been a true freshman last season. I think with better offensive line play he could set the ACC on fire in 2017.

He got a lot of flak preseason last year (no vision ect...) but i think he did a great job last year especially considering the state of our o-line. Here's to hoping he stays healthy this year and balls before the NFL.

GO CANES!!!

That called back TD against FSU still ****es me off. We always getting fvcked by the zebras

Of the returning backs? Yeah for sure

No... We should include the backs who have graduated college or entered the draft and throw in guys who are early enrollees and high school juniors who have never played a down in college... for shît's and giggles.

Really good player. He gone after next year. I love his tenacity and the fact that he is so hard to take down even though he's not a big back. If the O-Line improves this year he will have an All-ACC type of season.

Condolences to Mark and his family on his mother's passing. I am sad for him. I hope he balls out and gets to the NFL after next season.

(Anybody know if Mark is the oldest brother? Does he have to take care of any younger siblings? God bless him.)

Love me some Mark Walton, but he needs to work on not running into the back of his OL.

He'll make an elite run, but he'll also miss on a lot of runs.

Having said that, I'm still prayin for that man's family. RIP to his mother.

Incredible balance and soft hands. Guy makes plays but he still occasionally struggles when the hole isn't obvious. He disappeared during the losing streak (like most of the offense) last year. His ability to remain on his feet after contact is top notch though. If he improves as much coming into this year as he did coming into last year, he'll be one of the top guys in the nation.

Game Sounds > Game Sounds + Music

High school highlights need music. College highlights don't.

Walton had numerous breakaway runs called back in 2015 and then that backbreaking fake penalty in 2016 against FSU. I don't think any of the penalties mattered in his runs. Give him those and we'd all be talking about what a game changer he is. I hope 2017 is his year. He got much better at his reads over the 2016 season, so he could be ready to take a big step. We need him to do it, he needs to do it. Time for Mark to EAT, take us to the ACCCG, and make his NFL $$ so he can take care of his family.
