Mark Walton News

At the end of the day, all of this hurts recruiting. I remember a comment one of the recruits that was anonymously interviewed and he said SB was a real hazard to recruiting. THIS WHOLE EPISODE IS A REAL BLACK EYE.

Very irresponsible statement and untrue.I have yet to hear about or see one video yet where someone is doing exactly what the police ask without being beligerant, resisting arrest,or attacking the officer and getting shot.Show me one video where someone is being polite and obeying the officers commands and the officer pulls out his weapon and fires it for no reason whatsoever. What do the police have to gain from killing innocent people?

You can't be that dense.. if you're not polite getting shot is deserved? Resisting arrest should get you shot? Wow, just wow! Why even train police officers? Just tell them to shoot anybody they're to **** to control. ****in idiot.

The "idiots" are the ones who don't behave in a civilized manor when pulled over, don't respect authority, and can't follow very simple instructions.A officer shouldn't have to control anyone-that should have been taught at home by the parents.Yes, fighting with the police can get you shot-big surprise,I'm confused as to how this is the officers fault.Nowadays it seems as if it is always some elses fault.NEWS flash-if you decide to fight the police and get shot-IT'S YOUR FAULT.Again, show me a video where someone is following the officers instructions and gets shot for absolutely no reason.I'll wait.....

dense dont even begin to describe your perspective. but go ahead and let history prove you wrong. You wont be alone

History shows that dumbasses(from all races) that fight with the police get shot.I don't have a problem with history repeating itself. There is my perspective.Obey the law and act like civilized human beings. The rest can be sorted out later.Mark Walton is proof that the truth will surface.I hope that he receives a full public apology and those that broke the law are punished accordingly.

What you aren't understanding is that fighting with the police (and I don't mean fighting as in throwing punches, I mean something as simple as not obeying commands instantaneously) is not a good enough reason to be shot. Maybe tased, but that is it. If a police officer is profiling you and trying to arrest you for nothing why the **** should you just willingly obey? A cop can say you are resisting arrest for just asking what you did wrong and not putting your hands behind your back immediately. What you are saying is that we should all just fear the police and do what they say no matter what so that we dont get killed. Do you not see the problem in that? Police are here to protect us, not to shoot innocent people that are selling CDs outside a store. Cops are basically being allowed to kill people because "they put themselves in harms way" and they "risk their lives on a daily basis". "put yourself in their shoes" you said, but cops having the mentality that everyone is trying to kill them on basic stops is a problem and is what leads to this excessive violence, and it only seems to happen when its a minority. And I'm not saying it's smart to be a smart *** to a cop, but the fact that being a smart *** to a public servant, can so easily put your life in danger is extremely sad and means something needs to change.

I never said that we should fear the police my friend .I said that their authority should be respected. Not obeying commands is not a reason to get shot,I agree. However, after that is usually when things escalate into resisting arrest and then usually more severe consequences. The CD guy had been waving his gun at a homeless man who then called the cops on him.CD man then chose to fight with the police and we know the result of that choice.Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.Mark Walton chose to stay calm. The truth came out and he was vindicated.Thank god he did not chose another option.

I will never take an article like that seriously cop or not.....especially from someone as biased as a NAACP member. I have Police officers in my family, have really good friend that are officers, and I work with these guys and that was some absolute BS. In my two years working as an EMT and a Paramedic, I've only seen abuse of power one time and it was toward a white guy. Keep thinking the "abuse" is done daily because the way these guys report it compared to the rate that it actually happens at its night and day.

Diminishing one anecdotal experience with another. You have no bias either with friends and family who are cops lol. You do see how someone could also say, "I will never take that story seriously", coming from you as well, right?

You also miss the fact that I WORK WITH COPS ALL THE TIME, I don't need to be influenced because I see it with my own two eyes...you don't run calls clown, I do....you don't do anything for the "hood", I do....I don't have any bias because if I did I wouldn't be able to do my job properly but apparently every black man in America that "knows what they're talking about" does. Until you've been to a assault in progress, seen someone be tackled to the ground because he was robbing somebody, then at the end of it have the ENTIRE BLOCK scream out police brutality just because the guy was black and completely ignoring the fact he beat guy half to death then me and you can talk....and that wasn't one anecdotal experience either. See how little you know??

There are problems on both sides. There are a lot of cops that are over aggressive. There is also a culture that has been screaming "f--- the police" for a long time.

I still think the media is the biggest problem. I can't remember ever seeing a white person killed by the cops on the news even though they are the majority of people killed by the cops. This tells me the media loves stirring up hate.

I mean I think it's going to depend who has the hottest hand at the moment rather it's Yearby or Walton.....IMO they legitimately split carries

Coming from a dude that spent 5 years as a cop yall have no idea what the **** your talking about. Honestly the numbers of good cop to bad cop is more like 40-60.

It's not pretty and can be better and is part of the reason I left law enforcement all together. It's tough to be the good guy in the police station. It's such a brotherhood dudes will turn their back on you and even set you up or completely avoid you for always 150% doing the right thing.

Honestly I can tell you about 60% of everyones department should be fired. But the things I've seen partners do is nuts. BLM and movements like it should be supported unless you are racist or ignorant (lack of understanding) which the latter may not be your fault.

So most cops are bad? That's scary. I also totally believe it.

This thread is going so very well.

If I could only recall what it was addressing.

It's unbelievable how bad the forums have gotten now mostly due to poor moderation.

People took an important discussion about one of our best players and tuned it into a social debate that is already plastered over every single TV and website.

Most of us just want to come on here just to talk about football.

Again, you're using your anecdotal experiences to diminish another anecdotal experience. Your experience doesn't mean that his isn't true. It's really not that hard to understand. And yes, I'm also employed in the field of law, so carry on telling me "how little I know." If your best way of getting a bad point across is to use bolded words and call me a clown, then it's pretty pointless to even speak to you.

You do know little because you're probably a lawyer and a defense lawyer at that lol. It's not anecdotal because I'm not the only one who's seen that stuff...do you see thousands of firefighters, paramedics or firefighter/paramedics walking with those guys?? I wonder if it's because we see through their BS?? I said I have a hard time taking that seriously but go ahead thinking that I'm saying he's lying even though in previous comments on other threads I've said there's bad cops but not at the level that you guys think there is.

This entire discussion is relevant to Mark Waltons situation. He was wrongly accused by the police and later vindicated.I posted an article showing that charges were dropped and that he has been reinstated by the team.If you don't like this thread then start one of your own, don't keep clicking on it,or just go away.Either way quit whining like a *****.
