Even after reading that article, I still don't understand the policemen's motives, or the girl's for that matter.

I constantly have to remind myself that this is a Canes college football enthusiast site and not a place for intellectual exchange. Some of these intellectual minimalist whip themselves up into a frenzy with their own idiotic beliefs and thoughts. Once they do that it becomes fact no matter how far they are removed from being in the know.

Excellent point. Several issues (perhaps even more to story) don't pass any logic tests.

1) What's the real story between this alleged "damsel in distress", the PD officers, and Walton?

2) What was the exact purpose of this "warrantless sting"...its almost implied it was some sort of "to catch a predator" operation?

3) How does anyone make the leap, with the newly released accounts, that he was impersonating PD?

lol same here. I guess the police officers motive was that one of them had a prior personal relationship of some kind with the "victim"? But what was the girls motive for the sting? **** hath no fury like a woman scorned? What a bizarre case.
 
That's ******* horrible, how are you going to conduct a warrantless operation for impersonating a cop??...don't you have coke dealers to go catch??

He still shouldn't have been driving with a suspended license but that was absolutely BS

So basically what I gather happened from these stories is the girl knew and had a personal relationships (BF/GF) with one of the cops. She came home drunk af one night and barely remembered how she got back home. Walton had used his high beams to get her to pullover and basically asked if she was okay because she was swerving all over the place. Then he drove home behind her to make sure she'd be alright. all she knew is she had Walton's number in her phone. she tells this cop what happened and he didn't like what he heard at all and probably thought that this black kid took advantage of her sexually. so that cop calls a buddy probably just assuming she was raped or some ****, and they plan to trap this kid and bust him on some made up charges. I'm honestly surprised Walton wasn't shot/killed for "resisting arrest". Really, It's not like the cops would have got in trouble, and the girl would've just continued lying.

Well, looks like he won't be suspended at all imo.

This story is probably the most bizarre I've ever encountered. Nothing about this story makes sense.

Cop was the boyfriend and probably wound up getting a mouthful of Walton's **** when he performed cunnilingus on the drunk chick the night of the fake incident. She then had to come up with something on the fly to explain her spackled box.

Leave to the franchise to take the Bizarre into the gutter,well done. Problem here is they never took a breathalyzer on the girl and had testimony from Walton she was driving drunk. He has a case for false imprisonment.
 
Moral of the Story: No good deed goes unpunished, especially after midnight...Drive straight to a safe place away from from any law enforcement when you have been out on Thursday - Saturday nights.

Good Samaritans are asking for a lawsuit and you never know what kind of cop you will get if you get involved with them; conscientious ones outnumber power tripping meatheads, but why take the chance?

yes, as stated in previous posts, I'm former law enforcement.

Walton probably would have been smart enough to freeze if he would have had a gun in his lap and if the officer clearly said to freeze several times....Walton wasn't a suspect in a recent armed robbery either.I feel bad for Walton and hope he gets satisfaction somehow.This was a terrible and unnecessary ordeal and I hope those who deserve punishment receive it to the fullest extent of the law.

Very irresponsible statement and untrue.I have yet to hear about or see one video yet where someone is doing exactly what the police ask without being beligerant,resisting arrest,or attacking the officer and getting shot.Show me one video where someone is being polite and obeying the officers commands and the officer pulls out his weapon and fires it for no reason whatsoever.What do the police have to gain from killing innocent people?
