Mark Stoops off the board

Really?! Wouldn’t have known with three other threads about Stoops.
 
Kentucky is a basketball school, that’s their love. What he’s doing at UK is beyond wildest dream. They’ve only had two 10+ win seasons in their entire history (1950, 1977) and he’s on the verge on posting two 10+ win seasons in the past 4 yrs!!

It’s a low pressure job. Maybe if something else opens up in the future, he’ll take it, but these schools ain’t waiting around for us. UK know they have a sneaky good coach, pumping out NFL players.
 
Should have been a program changing offseason.

Hire a legit competent AD. Keep the Miami former athletes away from the AD office. Target these candidates:
Lane/Gundy
Stoops/Aranda






Mario


Instead we are talking about Nunez, Strawley, Zo, Toretta, Mario, and Diaz.

I would hope our guys are not morons behind the scenes and have had communication with our next HC lol If not then we are left at the alter with god **** Manny.

Still a good sign Mario and Lane haven’t signed an extension.

That's because other schools don't just need competency, they need home run hires to keep up with the precedent they've set for themselves.

It's baby steps for us and full out sprints for the rest of the country. Mark Stoops would've been a **** good hire here.
 
If you guys look at his contract, he gets an automatic one year added to his current deal every time he finishes a season with seven or more wins. That is just about as ridiculously comfortable of a gig as you can find.

I believe the stories that he and Lane were interested in the job, UM is just likely not wanting to get too good too fast I guess...lol

You guys need to stop equating extensions with staying somewhere. Did can sign that today and be at a new job in a year

THE NEW MIAMI STAYS WINNING!!!!!!
 
I haven’t been on in a min, but wondering what the biggest cons for Zo and Mario are for everyone. They have great credentials and experience IMO, but I’m sure you all can share the lesser points of the two.
