The man has come to the crossroads of his career. I honestly think that there is a chance that CMR walks instead of having to fire friends and or demote or fire his own son. CMR has to much pride to let a young gun OC come in and make his playbook and calling look even worse than it already does. With the amount of money CMR has made during his career and his religious beliefs calling him to the ministry, it has to be something that he has thought about as an option.

I couldn't find records prior to 2006 & we all know what he has made while at UM.

Estimated pay over his coaching career $40 Million Plus.

Who was the last coach to walk away from $4M a year that wasn't imminently going to be axed?

And of those coaches, if any, who employed their son on the team?

I wouldn't leave if I were him. Blake James fudged this entire thing up by committing to him after one decent season. And this is after going on a three game losing streak. James will probably add an extra year or two now that he'll be on a 6 gamer by the time this season ends.

Richt is stubborn as ****. He will not be walking away from millions and I fully expect him to tell Blake James to **** off if they try telling him he needs to make changes to the staff. Somehow our awful administration learned nothing from the Golden debacle. How we continue to give coaches extensions for no reasons is mind boggling.

I understand people are ****ed about this year but just because you want him to retire doesn't mean he is going to retire. You can rationalize why it makes sense to you all day long. You are wasting your time.

Wait and see what he does at the end of the season to call for his head. He isn't implementing big changes to his scheme at this point. Perry is still learning his basic O. Just give it a couple months to see what he does and lets enjoy watching Perry gain experience.

He said when he was hired that he would be here until we didn't want him anymore. At the time we all hoped we'd want him 5-10 years down the road, but right now none of us want this failed product. So, if we don't want him anymore, isn't it possible he retires?

He forgot to add that you’ll have to pay the rest of my contract and my sons contract too.

Show me an example of a man walking away voluntarily from $4M a year.

Dave Chappelle? Any in sports? I don't care how much of a christian he is, $4M is $4M. You don't just walk away from that.

I think that he coaches next year.

He should simply hire a real OC and relinquish his "play-calling" duties. They will remember him more if he wins than if he produces losing records for two consecutive seasons.

There is no logical reason for him to persist with his current course of action.

With a fully autonomous OC and manny's D don't kid yourself richt can win the coastal every year easy. But richt will never beat clemson mark my words

I read what you wrote and which I could agree, but it’s impossible to enjoy this **** show.
