There's a reason that this guy is beloved everywhere he goes. Georgia fans may have been disappointed that he never won a 'ship in Athens, but part of that is the luck of the draw - he coached at Georgia when Saban arrived/won at LSU and Bama, and had Meyer at Florida squeezed in between. And that 2012 Georgia team that lost to Bama in the SECCG would've beaten ND. Despite that disappointment, Georgia fans still revere the guy, and the same is true for us Canes.

Hope he stays healthy and that his health issues stay somewhat dormant, although I did notice that he appeared to be a bit slowed down during his sideline interview. He's a great man and he deserves to enjoy retirement in health and comfort.

Yeah Parkinson's is nasty. He is doing OK but his expressions / facial & head movement are all impacted. I was at the ND game in 2017 and, living in Central Florida, I went to a "Canes meet the coach" function in Orlando in the Spring of 2018 ... kind of a season kick off event. Had the opportunity to shake his hand during a break and I said "Coach, congratulations again on that amazing ND game ... I've watched the replay at least half a dozen times since". He just laughed and said "I've watched that one quite a few times myself". Real down to earth, good man.

Great guy and pretty **** good coach. I think he might have had a little more success had he not insisted on being the play caller and also hiring his son as QB coach but he's the main reason the Canes have the Indoor facility and hes responsible for 2 of the best games in recent memory (ND and VT)...Prayers for him going forward dealing with Parkinsons
