Look around college football. There's only 2 undefeated teams left and one of them has played no one. So there's really only one undefeated team left. Is Saban the only good coach out there? Sure Richt shouldn't have lost this game but the odds say you drop one somewhere along the way. This was our one. Oklahoma lost to Iowa State. Ohio State gave up 55 to Iowa. Clemson lost to Syracuse. If the measure of being a good coach is winning all the games you're supposed to, then who is a good coach?

It's impossible to know but what would our record be if we had another coach? It's hard to imagine it would be better. This team has some warts. No other coach is going to magically fix our qb situation. Rosier is limited. He's an erratic one read guy. Sherriffs does not appear to be d1 caliber. I hate to say it but Al Golden screwed us again by leaving us a big fat zero at the most important position on the roster.

Richt isn't without fault. I think he's got a lot of improvement to do as an oc. But seeing the amount of open receivers running around out there today was eye opening to how hamstrung he is by qb and a soft oline (no running game). Whether or not he's a good oc, I have no doubt that he's in the upper echelon in college head coaches. After 15 years of crap, what more can we ask for?

He canstart with hiring a real Special Teams coach. The worst we have seen in years... even the horrible Al teams weren't this bad in all phases of ST

No coach ever wins every game they should.

Saban should have beaten Clemson last season, lost. Also lost to Spurrier at USCe, Sumlin at TAMU, consecutive years to Ole Miss, bowl games to Utah, Oklahoma, and Ohio State (all three were double-digit losses). His first year at Bama he lost at home to Louisiana-Monroe (or was it Louisiana Tech).

You don't have to win every game but the flaws on this team both in personnel (QB/punter) and coaching (ST) is so glaring

There must be some walk on soccer player who punts better than Feagles.

This could have happened last weekend or several other weekend. We were due. We are not that good. We have zero offensive push and we still can't run outside. Its tough. When you add CMR's 3 child like formations with zero motion defenses don't have to be that good to stop you. Love coach but boy he learns slow. Where are our big receivers? Why did Herndon only get like 3 chances? How about running on first down coach? How about a counter? Sorry but we were totally unprepared today we can only hope he is saving it all for Clemson. Been a fun year and we reached our main objective. Hope we don't get embarrassed next weekend. 35 degrees and losing is not my idea of a good time.

Not sure how anyone can say we are not that good. We may not be a top two team or elite yet but did anyone expect us to be? Point is - if we bring our A game, we can beat Clemson. That's all that matters. I got faith in Coach going forward.

My one and only problem with this staff is as follows.

The team comes out flat on a consistent basis. Out first half production compared to the second is horrible. I dont know if it's poor gameplanning, motivation issue, or what. They also play very conservative and timid which forced the defense to do something to change the game for us.

Second half, we make dann good adhustments. I've always felt it's easier to adjust your second half game plan and calls because the team that's doing well, why are they going to change it up? Coaches routinely stick with what is working at every level.

One loss though at this point in the season, I didn't expect that. I was mildly concerned with the short week and even less so about the weather. I don't feel like this is a game we should've lost, but perhaps I'm overvaluing this team who has played close games basically all year but two games.

Good post.

Sure playcalling could be better, but there’s only so much you can do with a QB that inaccurate.

I don’t know if we’re coming out flat. We’re just limited.

For example, if Rosier connects on the 90-yard TD to Thomas on the bad overthrow on the first series, were we still flat?

Sounds like a systemic problem. Sounds like a Mart richt problem.

I don't know why people are so surprised. Mark richt has the personality of a door ****; therefore, his play-calling has the creativity of a doorknob.

We lost to a 4-7 Pittsburgh team. That's SO MARK RICHT!

Exactly what I’m trying to get an answer to......if he hits that....Did we “show up”?
