SMH @ "I don't think we were feeding the players right."
To me everything that he did wrong here was washed away when he walked away without a buyout. To me the guy would make a **** of an AD cause he sure got sHT done while he was here.Maybe he gets that chance here one day.
Well Gus weighs 780.93 lbs so yea I don’t think they were eating right either.
Thats exactly what he thought but the fans made him feel that pressure and rightfully so we only expect an elite team with elite athletes no more no less. even though that may not be possible in this era of CFB the fans still want itI truly believe richt came her to ride our the last 4-5 or whatever years he had left of coaching. I think he didn't expect us as fans to be so passionate about the university and winning. +1 to what @KWConch said about the buyout. He truly could've of screwed us but didn't and realized he wasn't the man for the job. I'm sure that was a hard pride pill to swallow. I applaud mark for what he did for the university it could've been so much worse when he exited.
Need hungry alphas with gas in the tank. He’s not that
Yeeeeeeeeah.....
Listen, I appreciate Richt being open and honest, but dude.....you've been a head coach for 16 yrs prior to accepting our position and coached under arguably one of the best CFB coaches of all time in Bowden at two big time programs, respectfully. How does this happen under your watch w/ that type of experience? You hand picked your head trainer b/c of your familiarity w/ his work, so I'm just saying what happened?
you realize he's talking bout golden right
You have no idea about that. You are speculating just like everyone else. So it takes 4 year to implement a new feeding protocol so guys can get fed right?
lmao in that same quote he talked about the stadium upgrades and dorms -- all things that were done or at least planned during the richt tenure
Use the context clues.
They have better dorms and a stadium(the dorms were just recently completed). WE weren't feeding them properly. He may have planned to get them to eat better, but how did it take 3 years to implement that?
U nutrition was in place under him (i believe he hired the nutritionists on staff bc i remember it being a sticking point when he was first hired here). gus was useless as an SnC coach tho. made the LA fitness trainer swasey look useful
