Mark Richt negativity

The choir sang for Butch, the administration hired a choir boy. Still, there has been almost universal support for Mark despite that. I have seen almost no negativity about Mark. Personally, I think Butch was better choice to return us to glory but Mark will beat FSU, win Coastal and ACC. He might even get us into playoffs. If that is your negativity then ok.

A bunch of loud mouths were chanting for Butch. Hurricane fans wanted the best guy available and we got that. Butch would have sent the wrong message. There have been questions about our commitment to the football program. Butch is not a four million dollar a year coach. It would have looked as if we were trying to do things on the cheap again. Hiring Richt says that all the rhetoric about our commitment to football wasn't hot air. If Richt does fail it will be easier to attract big name coaches in the future.

Here's a prost written by someone whistling past the cemetery; hoping that it was the right decision. He's even working out if Richt fails. What a tepid "cane". The POTATOES still believe that by tearing down Butch, they somehow validate Richt.

It's over already. Most of us have moved on. Richt isn't going to fail. The only question is how much success he'll have.

If you are counting a title for a team where Butch didn't even coach that season then you can also count 2 titles Fsu won in large part because of richts prolific offenses he ran in the 90s. It's no secret why Fsu win percentage and overall success as a program sputtered as soon as richt left...

At first I wasn't happy but looking at the bigger picture I actually think the admin got it right.

With the NCAA, the media, and all the others haters perched on our doorstep looking for the most minor missteps (Remember the "7th Floor Crew" and that nonsense with Pat Forde?), I think the admins and Blake made the best call possible for this hnjustly maligned program. I like Butch and would have welcomed him back, baggage included, but when Richt became available, he was the perfect choice and the best person to be the face of Miami football.

Watch BSPN just basically ignore us like we don't exist. They want us to just go away now, because there will be NO so-called scandals for them to blow up into another Miami hatefest. I'm sure the boys in Bristol HATE this hire...and that's a good thing.
