Mark Richt is gone...

I said it in another thread a while back...

Anything that MR has on his ledger that can be construed as negative gets forgiven for walking away without that buyout.

He could have crippled the program going forward if he’d have either stayed and coached cause he wasn’t going to change or tried to get any part of that monstrous buyout. He didn’t do either knowing it’d hurt the program.

For that I will be forever grateful and I hope people remember his part in our assent back to the top.
He would have crippled the program had he stayed...

He was burned out at UGA and ready to retire, but when the "Golden" opportunity at Miami popped up, with a chance to return the U to greatness, he was invigorated. But that only lasts so long. He was ready to go before the bowl game. Very thankful for all he did and he truly is an honorable man, a solid coach, and a man whose heart is to help his fellow man.

Imagine that, a selfless man who recognized the error of his ways (play calling and hiring Jon as QC coach), did the honorable thing, and walked into the sunset. Without millions that were owed him. Oh, and contributing a cool million to the vision of actually getting the IPF done. The world would be a so much better place if we had more people in it like CMR.

This program was on life support he revived i. He’s good in my book. He did what he could then turned it over. Time to move on give the guy a break. He was gracious in everything he did

Don't nobody owe Richt ****! He got paid well to do a job and he failed just like the guy he replaced and the guy he replaced, except they weren't making 5 million a year!
