Mark Richt’s balls

All of you saying Mark Richt is conservative and calls plays conservatively need to acknowledge the balls he’s had all game need to show some respect. He trusted his players and they showed out for him. Great second half by our team.

All all about playing to win.

He who dares, wins.

I could have gone without the dramatics but a win is a win against our arch rivals.

He does call plays conservatively....thats what puts the offense in those situations to begin with

Perry was 12-32. No time to throw but was off. O-line problem was exposed in a big way. Best thing to happen was Donaldson being bounced back inside to guard and Scaife coming into RT

Richt consistently put them in terrible positions. No easy bubble screens, hardly any slants, and didn’t make any real effort to spread them out and challenge them on the edge, which other teams have done successfully all year.

He created bad situations by doing the only play FSU can defend on first down time and time again. Richt deserves to be criticized for his playcalling today. It was his worst play calling performance at UM.

He went for it on 4th down 4 times because
1) our place kicker
2) our punter

Let's not crown him yet. 3 straight runs when we were down 20 was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

He refused to take more shots downfield against a bad secondary playing zero coverage.

Richt called a HORRIBLE game today. I like Richt, but he was dreadful today. FSU can only defend one play consistently..a run up the gut. And Richt did it time and time again instead of challening them on the edge. He was extremely conservative and his approach almost led to a loss today against a garbage team. He doesn’t get credit for going for it on fourth down when he called an absolutely terrible, conservative game. Horrific coaching.

For what it's worth, I was calling for an edge run....we tried it later in the game and it failed. I think he deserves credit for sticking with the run, when honestly I would have abandoned it. It took a certain degree of ballsiness to keep trying to run the football.

Crowd was right to boo him for that. How about throw the **** ball on first down for a change. ****, running into a stacked defense 3 straight times down 20. Horrible play caller,

The one before the half was stupid and it basically gave the semenholes 3 points.
Having said that I’m glad he didn’t settle for field goals and went for it the other times.

I actually hated all of the forth down calls. Until they worked (save one), then I loved them.

Huge balls by Richt on the several 4th down calls, all successful decisions. Can’t fault him for wanting to wake up the offense and get points on the board which we badly needed at the time. Glad he made the calls, they were significant to the outcome of the game.

Bingo , he’s got huge balls one play then puts them in his purse the next three drives. Then does the most bone hesddd thing ever going for it at midfield with 43 seconds left until half.

One of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen, manny saved him a lot of questioning.

Eight in the box, crowded in tight - and naturally, time and again - we run right into the wall.

No one on either side - everyone's crowded shoulder to shoulder in the middle - and we run it right into the middle of the middle.

Genius. Absolutely genius.

Rather than starting the first series of the game with 2 runs and then we are third and long, I would love to see MR try to get Perry into the flow of the game early with some easy pitch and catches to our athletes in space. Maybe that helps settle Perry down and we get into a rhythm offensively.

He finally ran off tackle on the game sealing play from I formation. Shockingly it worked, I mean running outside rather than right into the teeth of the d? Slow developing plays from shotgun work terrific again double gap blitzes.

You should see the negs I received for saying Richt has no feel for the game.

There's bad. Worse. Worser. And worser-est.

He's the worser-est at play calling.

Needs to burn that playbook and buy one from somewhere else - and then let someone else throw a dart to determine plays. We'd do a lot better, and not nearly so predictable.

I think that was one of those Steve Spurrier "get these clowns off the field before they cost us 7 points" moves.

I've seen spurrier kick it on third down he was livid with his offense

richt has a ways to go to reach spurriers nut sack, spurrier would light it up here

Final score: 28-27, the U. This score would stand in the Super Bowl too. ‘Nough said.

Old school thought process, you run the ball between the tackles whether you can or not, don't matter, but you don't do it 3 straight times down 20. I get what he's doin but I don't agree with it, and it puts our online in a real bind
