I saw in a short interview, he indicated that he'd gone up against Patrick Surtain, Jr., twice at the superstar game, and while he caught both throws, he said both times it was a fight for the ball.
Do these guys ever really get down to brass tacks with each other?
I mean, if Pope were to speak to someone like Surtain, it's obvious that Pope (and others) would definitely make Surtain much better, and more NFL ready at the end of his college career, and Surtain for example, would make Pope much better, and more NFL ready at the end of his college career.
Does anyone have any idea if a conversation like that ever comes up?
We got a lot of knowledgeable folks here, and I do recall that our best teams years ago touted how the competition against each other - made each other much, much better - and that's how so many went to the NFL.
