When I was 18 years old, I joined the mens team of my home soccer club (yes i know soccer just hear me out). My father told me "Shut your mouth, work hard in practice and results will come". I didnt shut my mouth and I didnt work hard enough. Wasnt very well liked within the team, and I quit the sport that I loved at 20 because I wasnt part of the team and I blamed everyone except me.

It took me 1 year to understand the lesson that I was taught. Pope has not understood ****. Hard work pays off. And if hard work doesnt pay off, work harder. But ****, if things dont go well, dont blame others for your failings and dont go at others when they criticize you. Shut up, get back on the practice field, work hard and shut them up.

I hate to see awesome talent start crashing, I want to grab them and show them one year of my past horrors I’ve lived through to scare them straight to nurture there talent and not let it fade away.

I want them to know the world outside is very different then a fee ride scholarship .

I want to save them from THEMSELVES

So let me see if I understand. Cooney says that Pope would make that catch 90% of the time, when the actual stats say that Pope only makes that catch 85% of the time.

Berrios was underutilized until his last season. Hankerson showed cleared signs he was trending up his junior year.

I wish no ill will on these kids, because they are just kids and want to be better, but I really don’t want to see Pope or Wiggins on the field anymore.

Do you think they go out of their way to drop the ball? They don't. They are trying hard, and some are not up to par. But that has to do with our lack of depth at WR and chronic instability at the HC ranks for over 15 years.

We got 8 months til 1st game lol gonna be quite a few more threads bashing. I'm almost fearful for a spring game. Good or bad results wouldn't lighten the load.

You made one good point our HCs have and continue to suck. These kids shouldn't be in game this late in the season after proving they can't cut it. Depth or not we haven't seen freshmen get opportunities afforded to upperclassman.
 
Personally, I find it creepy as **** that grown men follow college kids and even high school kids on social media but that’s not really the point. The facts are Pope and Wiggins consistently drop passes and fail on the field and fans are going to be ****ed about it. It comes with the game. It’s not like they had one bad game and everyone jumped on them. They have been dropping passes all season.

We sbould have been giving younger guys more snaps weeks ago. Pope and Wiggins shortcomings have been known, yet we continually sacrifice them to the football gods. Smart coaches know when enoughs enough and bench guys to not destroy them.

I agree 100%, the coaches are actually ******* the young guys by not giving them a chance. However, they're ******* Wiggins and Pope as well by not pulling them which has resulted in them having zero confidence.
 
Sometimes these young fellas are their own worst enemy. When they post something on any social media platform, do they not realize it’s going to be read and reactions - good and bad - will inevitably follow.
