Mark Pope Twitter

Pope is everything wrong with Canes football. Soft over rated South Florida kid who is focused on self instead of team, doesn't put in the work, and feels sorry for himself when faced with adversity and criticism. Kid should be posting video of him working the Juggs machine today not crying like a biitch

Brevin Jordan tweets that he will do everything he can to get better after his drop. This guy tweets **** the world like he didn't bring this on himself. Huge difference in mentalities. Put your phone down, and fire up that juggs machine young man. No one cares about your feelings in the real world.

Brevin Jordan has the mentality of a man, while Mark Pope is still thinking like a boy.

I genuinely can't work out how he was rated as a 5 star.

There's nothing outstanding about him - he's slight, quick (but not explosive), has poor hands, lacks elusiveness etc etc.

Baffling player.

You wanna play big time college football?

well you better be able to handle the heat when you don’t perform.

I understand they’re kids but they have to be more aware going into college this is what will happen when they don’t deliver. This is the real world - no more high school coddling.

Yes, so true - this is part of the gig, right or wrong. If you want the love and attention during the recruiting and you want the love and attention when things go right, you have to be ready for the criticism when things don't go well when you choose to be in the spotlight.

Again, i do not condone or support personal attacks on kids who simply don't play well. The death threat BS, personal attacks about how they look/talk/dress, family members, etc just because of poor play is uncalled for. Fans should be better than that and just call it a poor play. I think many do but as is the case with most things today, it only takes few to make the whole look bad. Now if they act a fool on social media with personal jabs and initiate those attacks or get arrested, make the team/school look bad with their actions, etc.....then we have a different situation and they opened themselves up for it.

If these kids strive to play in the league though, they better develop thick skin quickly. It doesn't get easier. You can ignore the papers and not watch sports TV but if you choose to put yourself on social media, you are willingly putting yourself at the fingertips of anyone with an opinion......and you know how much stupid is out there in the world.

1. He's an adult, not a "kid."

2. He's been through enough football in prior years where he's seen many teammates work very hard and not get to a P5 team because they were rejected for not being good enough. Did he see that has unfair, or is it only unfair now that not good enough is happening to him?

3. #1 & #2 are not defending the people who are insulting him online. The people who go overboard with insults toward people like Pope are trash. Same trash who insulted Baxa, Feagles, etc.

Literally nothing good can come out of that. I’m sure it’s tough to be berated and harassed by stupid fans online after a game like that for a 21 year old kid, but yea. That’s just not a battle you’re going to win.

21 years old is not a kid. I was self-sufficient at that age and didn’t depend on anyone for anything

Maybe if we treat these players like the adults they are, they’ll start acting that way
