2027 Mark Matthews 5* OL from STA

I would say they aren't getting him. OT is the #1 position coming out of HS,,though. That's because big time QB's will hit the portal. Yes, Seaton entered, but big time OT's don't hit the portal. Miami wouldn't match LSU's $3.5 million offer to Seaton. Their is a rumor that A&M is offering $9 million for 3 years. Out of HS and that's more than Cantwell. I don't see Miami going their if that's true. We have our LT for 3 years still. I told you A&M is offering stupid money this year. At least they are trying to build a relationship with a 6 day visit. If you don't and just buy them, that blows up on you.

We have two years to find a Cantwell replacement. Mathew’s won’t want to wait. This just may not be the place for him I guess. Bit of a short term decision but tamu had a good line so this isn’t like him going to fspoo or something
 
if cantwell is LT for 3 years at a hefty price, and believes Congdon can be the RT for 3 years at a discounted price, they may not be willing to drive the price as high as others are willing to…and they may divert those funds elsewhere

Except Cantwell could move to RT. That's where everyone though he'd play and IMO we're starting him at LT because we have no othere good option there (McCoy is not good enough pass-blocking to be there).

Congdon has been practicing at OG.

Personally I agree. Just think the perception of loosing out a local five star kid will make them them do whatever they gota do to land him
 
short sighted if he goes to a&m and bad for our optics to lose a 5 star lineman in our back yard.

Matthews plays RT now and he can play that when he gets to Miami.

Again, I don’t think money will be a problem and one of numerous reasons why most still predict him to be a Cane.
