No argument with the entirety of your post except for nitpicking about SEC's morbidity They still enjoy rabid support from the fans and still have monster network coverage. All that and we beat their **** and came close to being 2-0 vs arguably the B10/11's best.
We are for real.
But we are fans and/or alums not to be confused with impressionable teenagers who watch the coverage and listen to the hype of the SEC games.
Alot of kids want to be part of this.

Florida kids don’t do well in Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma etc. weather sucks in it is country not to mention the racism that exists in those states. Compare that to miami where the weather is amazing, have all the homies with you and the decision is a no brainer.

While I am at it one of the reasons we are getting kids from Chicago etc is bc the weather sucks and this is not only a program that will get you drafted but now we pay you to spend four years in miami’s weather and all the smoking hot babes that live in this city.

The SEC is Dead...

To Us.

We need to be moving as an independent like Notre Dame. Yeah, we are technically in the ACC, but when we square up against the SEC they carry that L. Just put the tape on the last couple of seasons. And now we are putting guys in the league at the same clip as the TOP SEC schools.

That's the message I would hope we are selling.
 
I don’t know if anything changes. But if I have to pick any coach in CFB to pull a last second buzzer beater for a recruit I’m picking Mario 100/100.

I can’t imagine saying no to a program offering me hundreds of thousands of dollars, that’s in my hometown, focal point of the program is the trenches, and the head coach has a decade long proven track record of taking people like me and developing them in to first rounders with the most recent example drafted less than a week ago.

To go to Texas A&M of all places is crazy to me unless there’s some family connection I’m missing.

He was a lock because no kid with any sense that's serious about his career and likes being in South Florida would conceivably leave if the money was there.

Problem is this kid is not a culture fit and probably saw how serious and not goofy all of his team mates were going to be and said oh ok I'm not signing up for 3 years of torture cause these dudes are too mean and serious for me.

Kid probably wanted to be with a group that is more "fun" and goofy. For him that was the dorks at A&M. Remember 8&4 have recruited a huge string of low character 5 star busts. I have no doubt watching his commitment and some of his other videos that he wasn't going to work out here.

Also Lance said when breaking down his film that he lacked violence and didn't finish in the trenches only on the second level when he had a big size advantage. I'm sure given the tools Mario sees the kid and feels like he can mold him into something special. Kid just didn't think he needs that, maybe doesn't even want it. Kid could just want to collect his bag have a great four years at A&M and then become a florist or fashion designer
 
He’s been given everything all his life , STA is no cheap 1st class in every way.
If he came to Miami he would be up against the baddest dudes in CFB.

Many say Miami is better then last year through out the team really no weaknesses just pure depth laden with 1st round draft choices a NFL team actually.

MM wanted NO part of a physical battle every single day then find out NO FREE LUNCH just championship NC .

MM is soft in many ways some unseen but glaring.

Of course MM WAS good he was bigger then anybody in HFB many opponents just fell to the ground at his approach, NOT ON A D-1 CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER TEAM !!!

Wait till he absorbs a D-1 sober knocker by a half his size safety in run support LMAO .
