I 100% believe that if we don't get a guy that we want, it's because of money. No one is gonna out recruit Mario in the traditional sense. Today's game is different, though, as it only takes an 11th hour Santa Claus bag to change where a dude wants to play ball.

Jacobs and MJC were money. Matthews just wanted to leave home. Even tho everyone said Miami, he never seemed all Miami in his interviews.

Actually though. If the money is equal, the product is better, and is closer to family, we need to change the salesmen. Rumph was an all time terrible recruiter. Fire him and Smith. Bring in guys plugged in with elite HS teams and elite 7v7s with already positive relationships.

Always said wins head to head dont mean anything, recruiting has always been a separate entity and there has always been proof through 20 plus years that winning never meant anything. Even head to head match ups, there have always been recruits where you wonder why they go to a place. Even Saban would lose guys and it did not make sense at all.

I am not in the know but if I had to guess why he may not want to come to Miami. 1. A&M is throwing cash$$. 2. He saw #79 practice and thought I don’t want to sit for 2 years potentially bc that dude is the real deal

1. You have to pay, maybe even over pay for good players.
2. They don't play the same position.

Matthew’s is a RT? I know u have to pay but if A&M is double I wouldn’t match it no reason to do so
