Miami fans should not want Auburn beating Alabama this weekend. Miami fans want these scenarios to play out:

Alabama to beat Auburn and then UGA in the SEC Champ. game
Ohio St. to beat Wisconsin in the Big 10 Champ. game

The reason being, *in case* Clemson gets lucky and beat Miami in the ACC, the teams behind Miami in the College Playoff suffer losses too and Miami remains in the Final Four even with a loss.

In the above scenarios:

Alabama remains undefeated #1
Clemson jumps to #2 with 1 loss
Oklahoma goes #3 with 1 loss
Miami is #4 with 1 loss.

UGA has two losses, Auburn has three losses, Wisconsin has 1 loss, and OSU has 2 losses.

Malzahn is 1-3 (soon to be 1-4) against Saban. I think this will be a good game. In the end though I think Bama will pull it out. I would be more confident in Bama winning if they hadn't suffered the injuries that they have.
 
If Ohio State beats Wisconsin & we lose to Clemson we are out. Don’t kid yourselves. Ohio State WILL be in over us. Their AD is on the committee for christ sakes.

heres what I "think" the committee will not do: it will NOT put tosu in, no matter what. everyone xcept espn talking heads remember their humiliation last year. if you did something that stupid, would you do it again? YOU might, but a committee wont.

maybe. hopefully.

as for auburn beating bama. they are a 4 pt. dog. anyone "knowing" whats gonna happen is kidding himself. especially in a rivalry game. thats just dim.

I do not think Miami gets in to the CFP even in the best scenario if they have a loss to Clemson. Remember, these are not writers or media voting - these are admin/former coaches types who don't necessarily to include logic into their decisions. I think the late season loss will weigh heavily and ultimately preclude from UM getting in. JMO.
 
I have been saying for months that Auburn can beat both UGA and Bama.
So it would not surprise me at all. But Bama is still Bama so they won't go down without a fight.

If 2 loss Ohio State is still in the game then 2 loss Notre Dame is still in play too. Much better schedule, much better losses.
 
I'm taking Bama. They have the defense/athletes to negate Gus and his gimmicky offense.

We should be rooting for Auburn.
 
i am all for everyone losing 1 more game each as long as clemson and obviously we dont lose next week.

osu loses to michigan
wisconsin loses to osu
bama loses to auburn
georiga loses to ga tech
auburn loses to georgia
oklahoma loses to tcu

I think so too, only way that works is if ohio state loses to michigan then beats wisconsin. They would be 3 loss at that point and be out.

Gene Smith has to recuse for Ohio State, so that's not the problem.

The big problem for Miami is that Clemson's AD doesn't have to recuse talking about Miami and neither does Kirby Hocutt or Frank Beamer.
