Seen his name mentioned a few times on here, just won 9 games again at ULL and has done it every year since he's been there (4yrs), 4-0 in bowl games too. Could be another guy that'll be taking a step up soon.

If he stays another year and has another good season his name is really going to heat up next year.

Dunno if he would work at Miami but I'd rather have a bat**** crazy coach like him then more #Pillars

I posted this before, he coached at my alma matter (N. Alabama). He has won everywhere he has coached. I just dont think he woul dbe a good fit. He is a good old boy from the sip, dont think that would mesh well with S.Fla culture. I could be wrong tho

People said the same thing about Butch, Erickson, schnellenberger etc

All we need is someone to use South Florida talent the right way, and be able to recruit enough to lure them in and we'll be fine

Perfect fit ... For an SEC program.

he would fit in well enough here. he likes to win. hes not that much of a good ole boy. he likes ballers, he not a big "discipline" guy. i know him a little from when i used to coach d2 ball. he cheated on his wife with a cheerleader and knocked her up, divorced his wife, married the cheerleader 20 years younger. he likes ***** and he likes to win. he'd be a good fit. he connects with inner city kids, hes southern, but i wouldnt call him a "redneck" or w/e. he is a bit shady, but its not that bad.

LULZ at this mystical South Florida culture bullshyt. Our most successful HCs were rednecks from Arkansas. You guys act like SEC HCs are coaching a bunch of dudes named Billy Bob. LULZ.

Our black kids here are like black kids everywhere else. There's nothing unique about South Florida culture. They gravitate to winners and reject losers just like everywhere else in the world.

Folden didn't fail because of some inability to understand this mystical culture. He failed because he's a fcking loser. Randy Shannon spent his whole life in South Florida, and he failed too.

Good ol' southern boys have dominated at Miami.

I'd take him. My comment wasn't meant to mean I wouldn't want him ... It was meant to imply he wouldn't want us.

But there is a SoFl culture ... And everyone is not built for it. I don't think it applies to recruiting, but I know lots of business associates who couldn't adjust to SoFl culture. The pace, the diversity, ... It's unlike any place else. I consider that a positive ... But some don't.

Sounds like a perfect fit. People forget that Miami kids are Southerners also. Little more edge, but bad asses and Southerners like that type. It is the sissy Yankees that run the U who don't fit with our inner city kids.

that is a good question, but that dude is a go getter. eats nails for breakfast, etc. like i said, he has an attitude, he likes *** and he loves winning. huge ****** ego, which i think works here as long as its not just a front.

If Golden would uninvolve himself in the offense and defense, we'd be playing Alabama in two weeks.

Love this quote:

"My favorite quote of all time is 'the speed of the leader is the speed of the pack,' and that's why I try to bring a lot of energy and a lot of juice, chasing guys around," he said. "Same thing in the weight room. I want them to think I'm all in with them. Not just some big, overweight coach that's got a dip in that's telling his guys to 'play hard and to work out hard.' If they see the energy and passion that you have hopefully that'll rub off on them."

You guys are clueless if you don't think he'd tear it up here. Our athletes playing aggressive and with passion is what we've been missing for 13 years. He'd instantly cure that.
