Hudspeth wins against ****ty team. even this year, in year 4, they are 3-3 and their loss were against the 3 best team they played. Every year, his team lose against the "good" team they play and win against the ****.
Out of curiosity what is a good record for a team in non-BCS conference?
Hudspeth do a good job at ULL and he's not a bad coach, make no mistake about it. What I was trying to say was simple that we, as the Miami Hurricanes, should aim higher than Hudspeth. While he did an overall good job at ULL, I don't see in his resume what could make you think he would make Miami wins the big games.
2011 - 1st year : The records of the team they beat: 37-72... only 2 teams with more than .500 record: SDSU in the bowl game (won by 2) and Mario's FIU (won by 5)
Not a bad 1st year considering ULL were 3-9 in 2010
2012 - 2nd year: The records of the team they beat: 42-70 ... only 3 teams with more than .500 record: Louisiana-Monroe (won by 16, a team that lost by 31 in bowl game against Ohio), WKU (won by 4) and East Carolina in the bowl game (won by 9)
Again, good season, but no big win
2013 - 3rd year: The records of the team they beat: 46- 64 ... only 3 teams with more than .500 records: WKU (won by 17), Arkansas State (won by 16) and Tulane in the bowl game (won by 3)
Same as usual, good record, but no big win
2014 - 4th year: They beat a 4-3 FCS opponent by 39, a 1-6 Georgia State team by 3 and a 3-3 Texas State team by 24 while losing by 24 against LTU, 41 against Ole Miss and 25 against Boise State.
He never beated an opponent with a record higher than 8-5 while at ULL...
