We need to stop playing freshman rb’s. They need that year for their bodies to get accustomed to the college grind. Everyone would be better for it long term. Unless they have Duke Johnson talent which we haven’t seen since duke Johnson.

Fletcher is nearly an NFL back size wise. Injuries happen. His head was a clear targeting call but we know how that goes.

CJ is a different story. We have to play him in space much like a WR.

Doubt he plays for a while with a boot that big.

Mario's teams come out of a bye more beat up than when they went into the bye.

Fletcher and Samson

Hoping just a tweak. Saturday he had one of the largest boots I've ever seen almost up to his knee. Or i was overly intoxicated hallucinating the size of that thing.
Hopefully, you were just drunker than a skunk and seeing things in 3-D. LOL.

We need to play the best players period. If you have a 3 year (NFL guy) why would you not play him and lose a year. The LT is perfect example. I know you said RB's to me there is no difference because of position. Play your best players.

If you think RB is bad, how about DT/DE like LT&Bain OR even OL with Cooper&Mauigoa? We are talking a ton of snaps along the line where the grown men are needed. It is also why we need Mesidor back to add more quality depth.

Not about size. It’s about getting your body ready for the pounding you take in college. There was a time when this was the norm regardless of the kids size.

Going to have to simply disagree here. Fletcher was hurt at Greentree. Should we stop giving freshmen reps to prevent injuries? You do realize these kids likely get 100 reps on Greentree for every 1 in a game.

I agree. Play the best player. If he was Duke Johnson play him. I didn’t see a player that was head and shoulders better to not play him. He’s good but playing a Rb too early has its risks as well.

There used to be a time that when you had to play freshman meant your depth and recruiting was lacking. Let the kids develop if you have that luxury.
