Mark Fletcher had a game yesterday that will go down in history and I'm so happy for that young man. He was a man amongst boys yesterday. However did anyone notice how much more explosive he looked yesterday? From the beginning, the friend I was watching the game with immediately noticed the difference. He looked at me and said, "Whoa! Fletcher looks like a new man. Did you see that explosiveness?". Indeed I did! At first I commented that the time off obviously did him good. Then as the game wore on I thought to myself "Is this Mark Fletcher or Willis McGahee?". Then on the last drive where he took the game over I said, "It looks as though the medical team used the 3 weeks off to give Fletcher bionic legs lol. I know it's been said a million times but Mark Fletcher just wrote himself into Miami Hurricane Football Legend with that performance. 17 carries 172 yards at 10.1 yards per carry on the road at Kyle Field in College Station against an 11-1(Now 11-2) ATM team that was arguably the best the SEC had to offer. What a stud! What a legend! I want to know if anyone else noticed what I saw yesterday.

He’s a complete back. He learned to be patient and let holes open from Martinez last year, but his style is a slasher. Ole 44 blast as we used to call it, just hit the hole and go.

He did flash some burst yesterday, that I’m not sure we’ve seen enough of. But it was a welcome sight.

Great day for a great kid!

From the first carry when he got first down and next play we went malicat, I was like we doing goofy **** and burn the gameplan, burn the malicat, burn everything, we blew them off the ball so thorough, and he ran unlike I saw all year, that I was like yea just ride this horse and play action off of it.. Just because of how that 3rd down defense is a problem (best in last 10 years)

This should of been an all time playoff performance 30+ carries, 250+ yards game. What we were doing in first half was a complete disservice and seemed like we were trying to win some video game creativity award rather than what was obvious to anyone who actually understand football, EVERY coach/announcer even by halftime was asking for more run.. The defensive coordinator in his post game presser said they ran with a light box and we almost never seemed to figure it out. Baffling how we can adjust midgame and think its more important to stubbornly stick to gameplan thats not working when the obvious stuff is right there..

Then the coaches have this weird thing where they think the fans dont like A gap runs just because we called them out spamming plays that dont work and got us multiple Ls in a few weeks time.. No we just want to run what works and adapt to what defense is giving us, its like they lack nuance.

ALL TIME performance by Mark, congrats to that man as he ran possessed.

Literally from the 1st carry. Next thing i know he has 4 rushes for 38 yds. I swear imma get a random text from a neighbor saying "let Mark run the ******* ball" sometime this week. He played great like we knew he could. Buddy might go for 200 against HoState.
Fletch was certainly the best version of himself yesterday. It was so great to see him at his absolute best on a day where we needed him to be. @DMoney Big boy football indeed!

Fletch ran hard and almost broke a few. IMO, there were more opportunities in the run game Dawson didn't take advantage of yesterday, which i hope he cleans up for OSU bc there's no chance against them if you can't score points.....but the scheme has been so much better since they started to implement pistol concepts with the shotgun/inside zone.

That aTm defense is really good at what they are really good at. Speed rush and overload blitzes. We had no answer for their 3rd down pressure packages.

What that are not good at is stopping the run. Especially between the tackles.

Fletcher was awesome. Best game of his career obviously.

If Dawson wasn’t so **** bent on gadget plays and fed Mark he could have gone for 300. They had no answer to our OL and marks combination of speed and power. They were stacking the box that last drive and it didn’t matter.
