Mark Emmert is totally ****ed.

Scary part is two of the more respected coaches in their respective sports, Izzy & Dantonio, are now being accused of cover-ups.

Right niw, if I had to give odds, I’d say it won’t affect his tenure at the NCAA. I’ve seen this script play out before.

Now if a couple of typing pool secretaries accuse him of telling dirty jokes, he’ll be gone tomorrow.

But this, well, what does prior history tell us. There’ll be a furor for the next couple of days, an outside the lines report next week, tears will be shed, teeth will gnash, and the SEC sock puppet will remain in office. It’ll be all more less forgotten within a couple of weeks.

Sadly. I wish it wasn’t true. Hope I’m wrong.

Not this time. USA gymnastics put this on blast. Wasaaaay too much heat and now if it’s true he was part of the problem, he’ll tarnish what the NCAA is supposed to stand for. If it’s true he had open knowledge of all of this and nothing was done, I think he’s out. Sexual Assault, Harrasment is under a totally different microscope then before.

the 37 cases seem to be unrelated to the larry nassar case from everything I've read. I could be wrong and obviously its still a HUGE issue, but feel like that should be stated

That does make a difference actually. Would get more attention if it was part of the gymnastics thing.

I'm not a lawyer by any means, but couldn't the gymists and their families claim that if Emmeret would of investigated the rape alligations, they also could have discovered the child rapist school doctor? I havnt read all the details but I think I heard that some of the victims were MSU gymists.

Man o man could this be the spark that finally burns down the SEC preferential treatment?

None of it matters to us if the ACC keeps ******** us over.

What will always bother me is the NCAA dragging their feet in their witch hunt against us. I'll go to my grave believing the ONLY reason they took so long was to make it easier for teams like Bama to cherry pick talent from our back yard. As if we didn't have enough problems with the bad hires we were making, having teams use that "The hammer will fall on Miami" line did hurt us, and helped those we hate. Honestly, what other reason could there have been? When we see them sweep UNCs academic fraud under the rug, we know there was another reason for them going after us the way they did, and it wasn't simply because we had one criminal booster. It was because Miami had what others wanted. Local talent.

Sorry, Marky Mark will release something about him talking to somebody at MSU back then; heck, he will state that it was "possibly Simon" but he can't recall with "100% accuracy." Do you think Simon will peek her head out of her bunker to dispute?

Now if there was a huge action of #metoo activists going after March Madness, i.e. reporting "illegal" office pools to employers, going into bars to protest, showing up at host arenas trying to shame attendees, etc. AND this was connected to a loss in viewership (AKA ratings used to charge advertisers took an NFL-like dip) then Marky Mark may be toast. It's all about tournament money at NCAA HQ and if he is seen as hurting that gravy train...Well, even Saban can't save him.

Emmert has done a fine job sweeping violations under the rug. Mainly protecting the SEC from crumbling down.

From 1985 to 2010. The SEC has had 10 programs on probation. That equals out to every 2.5 years a SEC team was in violation.

From 1995 to 2009. Alabama was put on probation 3 times.

Since taking over in 2010. The SEC has only seen one team hit by the NCAA and that was Ole Miss. 7 years into Emmert tenure.

The SEC schools didn't just clean up their act. They've been under protection by the crooks running the whole **** thing.

This is the first time I’ve seen this broken out like that. Where did you pull this from? I’m glad you posted this. Good job. Very interesting. And very telling.

I wonder if it is a coincidence that Ole Miss is the one SEC team that had some success against Saban’s Bama teams.

Scary part is two of the more respected coaches in their respective sports, Izzy & Dantonio, are now being accused of cover-ups.

The sad truth is that over and over again we find out that “respected” often means that we just don’t know yet.

“Respected”= better at covering it up than everyone else

Often, but the true horror is that many times the truth is just ignored for some reason.
