To be fair Oregon shouldn’t have even been playing in the title game last year. Regardless, they’re both great candidates and would make a good hire. There are people on both sides who are delusional, that’s for sure

Oregon’s offense is totally neutered by their QB and Utah has fielded some of the better defenses in the league for a few seasons now. Ducks were never gonna have the advantage on offense. Putting up points is half the battle and you certainly can’t do that with a guy who is quite literally worse than Rosier.
 
I know myself and a number of others have been posting that we would be happy with either Mario or Lane. There have been many posts about the pros and cons of each. I can’t believe people have lined right back up behind a particular coach with such fervor.

It seems to me that there’s a portion of the Lane people who have been taking shots at Mario for a few weeks now. You all are annoying as **** and you don’t learn. Like you remind me of Tennessee fans when they were on our board during the Byrd recruitment.

After Blake and Manny - If Mario’s the coach, after getting Radakovich, I don’t think the Maude’s and the majority of the board is going to be very patient of crybaby Kiffin fans tearing down the new coach immediately and ****ting all over the board that way. And tht would go the same if Kiffin is coach.

he's not a bum, i think he's a solid coach. is he an elite coach that is worth $7+ mill per year? nope...

is he the one, imho, who will maximize miami's talent and actually have us competing for championships every year? he could strike lightening in a bottle here or there, but i don't think he's a good enough coach to be a consistent winner year in and year out.

is he an upgrade over manny diaz? of course...

But Lane is clearly the better coach, more of an innovator on offense, just as good at recruiting imho (look at how he recruited at USC despite those sanctions), and doesn't lose to those vastly inferior teams nearly as much as mario does...that's a huge red flag for mario.

if we're gonna go all in and make this program what it deserves to be and what it CAN be...then Lane has to be the answer guys.

enough of this miami connection every god **** coaching cycle (save for al golden)...it's cost us dearly. bring in the best coach available period...and that person is lane kiffin.

It's annoying as ****. There are great posters with concerns about Mario, and I get it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but YOu have the other as$holes that complain no matter what happens.
