They played against each other twice as head coaches. The first meeting was won by FIU 24 - 17 and the second meeting was won by Louisville 28-21.

Despite having far my talent Strong managed to lose to Mario in his second year at Louisville and barely beat him in his third year. If strong is such a great coach how could a team with 14 NFL players lose one year and barely win the next?

Mario > Strong

Mario is the Cuban Al Golden and Strong is the black Randy Shannon. Want neither.

Strong was a solid coordinator but seemingly has no business being being the HBC at a top program. He was the product of a weak conference, schedule, and an elite QB.

Two turds in a bucket. bleh. I really hate that we kept that deadbeat AD who had to be overruled by the BOT to do his job, after making idiotic statement after idiotic statement in defense of the indefensible.

If these two are my choices I'm taking Strong without a second thought.

Patterson/Chip/Gundy > Herman = Butch >> Fuente >>>> Shutting the Program Down permanently > Strong > Mario

lol... the black Randy Shannon

Mario is probably worse than Golden.

Strong has at least had some success before

Strong lost to Mario all while having 14 NFL players on his roster.

Strong is way over his head in deep, deep *** at Texas.

Cristobal and Strong are both poor head coaches - although Strong was able to take advantage of a weaker conference with a Heisman caliber QB.

Once that was done, so was Charlie.

Is rather have Mario then Strong. Strong is a joke and slight upgrade over Randy. Take away Teddy and what did strong ever do?--- il wait.

I did not know that. Then since Golden's resume is much, much better than Mario's, neither of these two losers have any business being considered for THE U. Al was horrible but better than Mario who is better than Strong.

Being 20 games under .500 got Mario fired from FIU but somehow makes him the front runner for "the U. Makes total sense.
